Champions League gameweek 3

Robben scores with his head... alright.
Thiago with a beautiful pass.

Finally Martinez can come on. For Alonso hopefully, just to make a statement.

Problem is: Even if fully fit I don't think he'd play in DM. God knows what the logic is, but I think Ancelottie, lile Pep, sees him as a CB which is fecking ridiculous given his quality. The mind won't stop being boggled.

I'm still hoping that Ancelotti sees Martinez as a good option as CB if Hummels or Boateng are injured but prefers him as a strong defensive player for the midfield.

And he's also switching him for Kimmich in this game so there's still hope that Ancelotti actually plays players at their strongest/usual position and doesn't try to outthink himself with fancy new ideas/shemes on where to play his players.

"There hasnt been much gulf in class between the two sides".....Jeez....He really said that

I was hoping he'd get subbed for Alonso and dreading he'd be subbed for a CB, so I can live with the outcome.

City will have much better games this season and not get as much praise as theyre getting from macmannaman tonight.

Another wrong offside call saves us and Hummels just stopped running to wave his arm...

You see, that Bravo incident was a situation where they could have done with Hart. He would have done the same thing, and let a goal in, but he wouldn't have tried to save it and get sent off.

Because he doesn't think of himself as the Xavi of keepers he probably would have cleared it better instead of trying to be cheeky
