Liverpool for me. An actual football club that matters. Tough to take as a united fan but the mess we're in is our own doing, and Abu Dhabis propaganda arm, mechanically playing their way to a CL after literally doing absolutely everything they can to try do it, all feels a bit contrived and pointless in a sporting sense. Liverpool vs Real Madrid would be a final worthy of the tournament

I still think City will pull it off. They will beat Madrid and then beat Liverpool in the final.

If City get to the final then City. Despite last season's CL loss, who has a better final record than Guardiola? It's something like 14 wins in 16 finals, or very close to that.

Overthinking semi finals, he does.
Overthinking finals, he does not.

City winning the CL would piss me off but it wouldn’t hurt. We’re already short of European cups I really don’t want Pool to win another.

If City win it this season I can see them quickly adding a few more. It's easier to win when you get over the hump.

We'd have at least 2 more CL Titles but for some scandalous officiating & having the misfortune to run into the greatest ever club side at it's peak.

There are no such obstacles for City as the European elite are incredibly poor at the moment. We could have an all PL final 2 years in a row. This shows how the rest of the big teams have fallen.

I know City are buying trophies but that's how football works now. At the end of the day they won't be having any of their trophies taken away from them.

It would be truly sickening if they match our European haul in the next few years. It's bad enough that Chelsea are only 1 behind us.

Difficult to choose.

Sadly the reality is they're good teams and other clubs and jinx threads won't stop them eventually. Pep was supposed to be there 3 years, some thought he wouldn't even take the job now he's saying he'd love to be there for years more. All this lottery winning clubs and sport washing is not going anywhere, Newcastle is next for the media push and love in..

It depends who wins the league, if City win it I would rather Liverpool win the CL. If Liverpool somehow pull of the EPL no way I want them potentially doing a quadruple.

I still hate the Emirates for buying City with oil money, of all the teams available; why not Brighton?? Southampton??

That said, seeing our neighbors, pure lottery winners (first the money, then Pep) winning their 1st Champions League, is a lot more bearable than watching the vermin winning their 7th, catching up with AC Milan. Nightmarish.

If Villareal pulls a miracle tomorrow, I'll support them for at least 10 years.

Sickening. Do we want Madrid or City to win tomorrow?

How often does it happen that the 2 best teams actually make the CL final? All those years of Real and Barca dominating and they never faced off in the final.

Last time probably 08/09 with United vs Barca where we were the unquestionable 2 best teams in the world.

City are going out to Madrid and Liverpool are avenging the 2018 final loss

100% won't be watching this. Didn't watch last year either so getting use to not watching CL finals these days

Madrid are gonna get pummeled by city on Wednesday. That 4-3 score line flattered madrid very much, and city had both their starting fullbacks out. Madrid's biggest threat is the left flank with vinicius supplying benzema. You get a competent fullback that'll force vinicius back your job us 50% done. The other 50% is keeping the ball and drawing madrid out which city can do better than anyone.

“Pummeled Madrid” but in the following counter attacks Vinicius and Benzema tear City’s defense….

Madrid is not so good at defense, but they are locals and have a warrior spirit.I consider them favorites over City or Liverpool.

Plus City was poor and kinda lucky against Atletico.. Real is a better team and combined with Bernabeu atmosphere, won't be surprised if they eliminate City..

Yeah, if it's City v Liverpool I don't understand how any United fan can watch it. You're voluntarily choosing to experience City or Liverpool winning the Champions League. feck that.

Mark my words real are gonna get slapped by city tomorrow. Both cancelo and walker are returning and if you lock down the left wing madrid are as good as dead. It's gonna be a spanking.

Would prefer City winning it (if they make it) but don't really care who wins.

I actively want City to win, just because they stand a better chance of beating Liverpool in the final (I think? They typically bottle it in the CL). This Madrid side is just a bit too flakey. What a wonderful time to support United.
Are you saying Liverpool typically bottle it in the CL?

Having Manchester United as a rival was 100% a commercial reason for bringing another team to Manchester. It helps to have a big city rival

Horrible predicament, but has to be City for me. Lets be honest, they're going to win it eventually anyway, and I'd rather they did this season if it meant we didn't get a Liverpool quadruple.

Yeah let's not forget missed opportunities against Dortmund, Monaco, Leverkusen and fecking Porto, that's not including bumping into prime Barca TWICE

Dortmund were better to be fair, and no way do we get past Juve and RM in 1998, nor RM in 02, Fergie was a bit too gung ho still, but it's only a one off final, not a 2 legger, so you never know.

If the defence stayed fit in 07 and Rooney in 10. I'd genuinely fancy our chances of winning those 2 though. Absolutely, especially 2010.

Ah yes leading Milan 3-2 after first leg and Rooney injury in first leg against Bayern 2010. Scholes offside goal in 2004 was absolute agony too.

They still won't lose. Manchester City are nailed on to make the final.

Joke of a thread, this season was only ever about the scousers winning everything.

if you claim to be a United fan this is as bad as it can ever ever get.

Liverpool are going to win unfortunately. Madrid have been incredibly lucky to get through, they were out played in each knockout match.

No, I'm saying City typically bottle it in the CL.

...

Got to admire Real Madrid. No stupid 5 year rebuilding jobs, no excuses, just keep doing what the biggest club in the world supposed to do.
