Raphinha's actual performances are better than Salah's, if we're being honest. But Barca won't be winning anything this year so neither he nor Yamal will be near the podium.

It was definitely to make it seem like recent players are impressive in the post Ronaldo/Messi era.
It was checked by VAR but the check seemed very fast, haven't seen very good replays but it looked like a foul.
I would but it's Benfica. Feck them. They get all the calls in the portuguese league. Make them taste some of the venom.
Looking at the table and Villa have really made a mess of their promising start.
In their defense, Wirtz could've easily been sent off well before that. He pulled Alvarez on a fast break and that could've easily been given as his second yellow.
Leverkusen have no one to blame but themselves. Failed to control a match where they had a man advantage, Madrid's energy in pressing in the second half was astonishing and Leverkusen simply had no answer. Add to that, an extremely fragile central defense that always looked like whitering under pressure.
You could see one team were a group of European veterans and the other looked like young kids who had no idea what to do.

I think for a winger especially, assists are definitely stats worth talking about given they are naturally supposed to be creative despite this current generation's obsession with inverted goalscoring wingers.

A lot of Barca fans keep saying this but where exactly would that leave Raphinha who has been absolutely incredible? Yamal and him are locks in this attack, its Lewandoski who needs urgent replacing this summer. He's just not good enough despite what the stats this season say.
Raphinha's first goal is an absolute treat.
