Cesc Fàbregas

I cant forget the Spurs highlight reel.

This video is why we want Kante

So Cesc will stop getting embarrassed defensively. It's like he's got cement for boots when someone runs at him with the ball. Can't turn.

Anyone find it odd we're linked to him? I'm sure we were linked to Matic as well . I mean those two were a select few who didn't perform for Mourinho last season and got him sacked. Don't think I would want rats like that at Utd.

Its what happens when a new manager comes. Journos were convinced we were signing De Jong because of Van Gaal starting him in the World Cup. It was orange city in the first summer of Van Gaal's appointment. Its an easy sell in the tabloids. Not saying there's nothing to the Fabregas story, though. There very well could be, but generally these type of things always happen.

Was a big fan of him and was all for signing him when he was leaving Barcelona but that ship has sailed. Also I don't think he's reached the level he was at during his time at Arsenal.

Agree with this, when he was at Arsenal I thought he was the best midfielder in the league (around the time he left) but it looks like he's regressed. He's still capable of being a really good midfielder, but he's also one that you have to accommodate and I don't think he's quite good enough to warrant building a team around.

Don't think Jose would sign more than one former player of his. Still think he's quality but a bit old now and could be valuable for Chelsea which is one of our big rivals these days...

As far as I know, Mourinho and Fabregas have a good relationship and are still in touch. The media just fabricated their fallout.

I honestly can't see Chelsea selling anyone to us, the Mata deal was a one-off. Why would they want to help strengthen our squad?

Just look at the best teams in the C. L. Atletico and Real, and the age of the players when they introduced to those teams. Progressive teams don't try to integrate older players. This lust for bringing older players is madness. I'm not saying older players can't play, but seeking to integrate them to new teams is bad policy.

Zlatan says "hello".

Paper talk probably, sadly though as he'd offer far more than Rooney in assists and probably goals.

The rumor was probably started by a Chelsea supporter. I think that the wow factors gone. He's played football a very long time, and probably never got over not really making it at Barcelona. At the time I wanted us to buy him but I can't see us being interested.

We can sign him on a deal from august to january 1st.
On a serious note, I'm not a fan of his.

Lot of paper talk that chelsea are touting him to pretty much everyone in europe at the moment for roughly 20m.

To be fair he's better then what we have in centre midfield. He has bundles of creativity.

Oscar must really have been convincing in pre-season, considering that Fabregas is twice the player that Oscar is.

So fickle is football. A few years ago we were gutted we didn't get him. Now, he can't get into Chelsea's first choice midfield, and his star is severely on the wane.

In games where we were expecting to be on the front foot a midfield three of Pogba and Herrera running box to box with Cesc behind them spraying the ball about ala Pirlo at Juve would be very good.

I didn't even want him back then. Although he was a fantastic young player at Arsenal, that was definitely his heyday.
It's astounding that people would have him even now.

He's still great. Put him in a 3-man midfield with a volante and a b2b player and he'll do wonders.

I'd sign him only to physically move his locker to the reserves or possibly outside of Carrington gates and feck him off to play with reserves or u-13s.

That is one small fraction of the concerning things in that video, yes...
