Yes. In Real, he had Modric and Kroos, so he didn’t need to show more on the ball. But in Brazil, he had no one better than him in midfield on the ball so he showed some ability how to dictate. He also took some free kicks for direct shots in Brazil. Not as good as Alonso or Carrick on the ball but I dare to say better than Kante on the ball.

Watch Varane be very good with Casemiro now, instead of the useless protection offered before.
Take those 2 out of that XI and it wouldn't contain a single English/British player. I'm not against it but that would be strange to see in a United team.
