Very disappointing if true. It was a pretty shocking decision but clearly the right one given how Amrabat played and he should have respected it.

Brazilian media reported it immediately when it happened. Looks like they had a falling out.

I'm not defending him at all if he did this, but it must have been a bit weird for the only man in the country to defend you every week in the face of pundits calling you past it and shit, to them turn around and drop you the day of the game. Simply from the perspective of the surprise element of it all. Ten Hag continued playing him and defending him until the day of the cup final.

I suppose like Fergie said in 1990 about Jim Leighton. "The wrong decision would have been the one from the heart. The right decision won us the cup."

Grrrr. So bloody annoying when people take your actual words that came out of your face hole out of context. The context being that you’re a loudmouth who really regrets saying it.

True or false, i never liked these types of people. Brothers or sisters of famous players who are basically leechers.
Now he is getting his 5 minutes of fame.

I haven't watched the interview but to be fair it sounds like he really was defending his brother. Someone apparently suggested Sofyan only got to play because the starter got injured and I guess he got upset and revealed the truth, that he really was picked ahead of Case.

He got a fair bit more than 5 minutes when he himself was a Premier League footballer. I think he might still be playing actually.

He definitely threw the toys out the pram - the sooner we hopefully move him on the better

He played in PL? I remember him from Greece or something....?

Edit; you are right. He played for Watford. He should know better then about these kind of stuff.

So what’s the current situation with Casemiro, haven’t read anything about his movements for a while.

Not in the Copa America squad so that isn’t holding him back - unless he’s travelled with the squad in some capacity?

Are we going to be left holding the bag with him next season?

He's on a colossal salary and has 2 years left. How do you possibly see him moving on?

There was talk of Saudi interest from January onwards. And also the rumours of the disagreement with ETH at the cup final.

But now we’re actually into post-season the links have seemingly gone quiet. Imagine we’d let him leave for a nominal fee to allow whichever Saudi team to pay the wages.

I said all season I can't see why anyone would come in for him at his salary (and fee).

Why has Saudi went in for any of the players they have?

Attention. They’re paying more to lesser players and there were legitimate links to Casemiro.

I’m not saying it’s wise business on their part, but it isn’t ridiculous to believe he will be off there with Neymar, Ronaldo and Co.

We certainly won’t be asking for £50m for him, we’ll probably let him go for £15-30m tops, and he’ll probably end up with a higher salary over there.

He is up and down the East Coast with his wife, enjoying sunny Florida. Driving an old Beetle, flying with a private helicopter, and surprising his wife with a romantic picnic. He is enjoying life to the fullest.

Saudi.

I’ve realized for the last ten years anyone wanted to get rid of a player on high wages who they wanted out they def said

“United will come in for em”
This.

We've basically been a retirement home for Madrid's cast offs. They're either constantly injured, or we get one good season out of them before their form drops off a cliff.

Madrid only ever sell players that they want rid of, and they only ever want rid of players for a good reason.

He will be very difficult to shift - doesn’t sound like there are many takers so we may have him around next season.

Maybe a good rest this summer will have done him good.

He should be reporting back for preseason soon.

My guess is that we'll keep Amrabat (plus, sign a mid) if he agrees to go to Saudi. If he stays then we won't excercise the buy option for Amrabat.
