Casemiro, 5 times CL winner and so on, still playing with as much heart and passion. Truly a role model and leader. What a change he has been for our mentality.

Meanwhile many people try to explain Liverpools bad form of a lot of players with "their hunger is gone", when they have won like 1 premier league and 1 champions league.
Liverpool's hunger isnt the problem, while I think the mental and emotional factor or being so close to big titles and loosing them by one point or one amazing GK performance has definitely hurt them, their problems are way deeper than than. Their main players and leaders aren't performing as they used to talking about Salah and Virgil, while they lost Mane and their fullbacks arent creating enough chances.

Their midfield has always been average so without their fullbacks creating chance after chance, Salah not being at his best and Nuñez missing after after chance they obviously going to struggle. I dont think we'll see the "super" Liverpool of past seasons, unless their scouting department hit gold again which is pretty hard this days.

Just going to add that he's immediately become my favourite United player (honourable shout out to Fred in 2023).

Is this the first time we've actually signed a world class player? I mean an established one. Maybe Veron is technically only the other one, he just didn't fit the team.

Raphael Varane. I mean, come on, he’s right there.

There are literally loads of Arsenal fans all over social media, that claim Partey is better than Casemiro

Gooners are the most deluded fan base on Twitter, the amount of garbage they spew on there is unbelievable. That Arsenal fan Joel on Rio’s podcast tried to say the same and Rio shut him down instantly by comparing both their stats in which Casemiro comes out on top in every metric. He then tried to say Partey is better on the “eye test” which is complete bullocks as well, you only have to watch 2 mins of Casemiro to realise he’s on another level.

Given that 99% of everything on Twitter is garbage are you surprised?

True. But the shite Arsenal fans come out with makes the usual garbage seem quality and very insightful.
Personally I wouldn't know, never used it, or Facebook or Instagram or any others of that ilk

Rather interestingly, he has 5 goal contributions in 11 PL starts (1069 minutes). He’s near enough averaging a goal or assist every 2 games, in addition to all the monster defensive work he does

This might not come as a surprise to many people, but the Form Table from Casemiro's first start in the league onwards has United level on points with 1st place Arsenal.

He is an elite footballer off-the-ball (in terms of his reading of the game) and on-the-ball (in terms of his passing). We've been fortunate to watch other world-class midfielders at United like Keane and Scholes - I almost took them for granted whilst they were here. Whereas now I'm going to appreciate every game I get to see Casemiro in a United shirt.

The Madrid lads seem to have quite som passion playing for us

They're winners and that's what they like to do. I'm happy for them and congratulations on winning against City. :D

Loved seeing him celebrate on Saturday with the fans. It really meant something to him. Despite being a multiple CL winner, he and Varane were sucking it up and loving it.

I’m heterosexual and happily married to my wonderful wife but watching this guy play for us makes me do a sex wee.

That was probably his worst performance in the last couple of months. But still better than any other midfielder has managed since Keane.

That's why we need him available to prove it on Sunday right in those gooners faces

of course, casemiro is the more accomplished player but partey has been just as crucial to them lately as casemiro has been for us. It’s not inconceivable that a fan group will elevate the status of their own player, especially when they are 9 points ahead of us.

True, but look at this way: if we swapped Casemiro for Partey then Arsenal become a better team and we become worse.

It's perhaps not a significant swing, but if you remove bias and preference and just look at the ability of the players and what they've individually achieved, then the answer is clearly Casemiro over Partey.

Yeah, and I imagine most neutral fans would agree, I just dont get commenting on another teams fans preferring their player...thats what they are supposed to do. Saka is better than rashford, odegaard is better than bruno and saliba is better than varane, even though one is a WC winner and played every game of the finals and the other didnt kick a ball. It's just how things work, when its your teams players, you elevate them.

Casemiro to McTominay is the biggest downgrade we have while rotating our team. Genuinely, hope that Cas starts tomorrow and we wrap the game up early to avoid fatigue or suspensions issue. Please don't get booked tomorrow.

Apparently he is out against Arsenal if he gets booked tommorrow. I honestly would rest him and not take the gamble!

Casemiro is an all time great CDM, Partey is not even anywhere near the best ever PL CDM's, never mind the all time greats across all of the leagues.

Why though? 3 points against Palace are as important as 3 points against Arsenal. If you lose or draw against Palace what good does to rest players in that game. He should be on the bench at the very least so he can be used if the game requires so.

I know but he'll be much more needed in the midfield against Arsenal than CP imo.

Could rotate with McTom or Fred in vs CP.

Yeah off the bench would limit how much time he spends on the pitch, providing we don't get any midfield injuries of course
