Even if Madrid wasn't in the final, I doubt Ronaldo would have made come to this anyway.
Police are recommending getting to the stadium for 12.30 for searches. They also have requested people don't bring bags.
I'm hoping to be at ot for 1 so should be in well in time for KO.
I think the bigger issues will come when the game ends. The football crowd will just add to the numbers from the benefit gig. I'm considering walking back into town after it because the trams will be a nightmare.
Part of me would love to see CR7 at this game, but another part of me thinks that because he is such a global icon that his presence would overshadow Carrick. Would not be surprised if he did some congratulatory post on social media or even a video message.
