He is! Just check the OP for everyone involved. Quite a spectacular list of players. Is Scholes confirmed for this?
If he plays - just watch him boss it at levels still good enough for the Premier League
He's been fantastic for the legends team since retiring.

Park and Evra reunited. I'm buying an extra box of tissues.
Because i'm going to cry obviously, get a grip guys
I'm sure Old Trafford will show their appreciation to this man for agreeing to play in a charity testimonial...
i think the deal is Carrick give him round of applause on 26 minutesI'm sure even Michael himself wouldn't object to putting him in the '08 XI, this match simply wouldn't happen without JT![]()
Some of the replies on Instagram to Terry though, some people are thick as mince aren't they. "Terry in a United shirt". No.
Someone with the Patrick Stewart (as Picard) facepalm please!I know! There was one as well who said they hoped he was playing for the opposition.
Looking forward to seeing this for the fun of it and also so Carricks twitter page goes back to normal instead of random announcements of players for his testimonial. And what an utterly random collection of players on the other team-Salgado,Duff,Abidal and Given? What link with Carrick am I missing here?
I think he played against all of them, most in PL and Abidal in CL final?I think the All-Star team is players he's played with (i.e. England, Spurs & West Ham), and players he's played against. Whether he actually played against them is a different matter but I think that's how they're spinning it.

Was going to say, he's apart of United's folklore! He is an essential part of our 2008 champions league winning team, we are not ungrateful.
A lot of footballers are just friends so they are probably just random players he gets along with. Given for example would have lived in Manchester and they very well could have been friends. Who he then could become friends with Duff too. Or some other non football reason.I dont think there is any real connection to half of them - most likely they have the same agent or something like that
Due to the benefit concert for the victims of the Manchester terror attack to be held on Sunday evening (4 June) at Lancashire County Cricket Club, the organisers of Michael Carrick’s testimonial are complying with the requirements of the applicable authorities to bring forward the kick-off time of the match by 90 minutes to 14:30 BST.
why , I am pretty sure that the train companies will still honour them. That's £40 worth of train tickets unusable then.

yes that maybe the case , but have you asked the train company about using them, I see no reason why they should say no , the change of time of out of your control. They're only usable on the specific train that they're booked for. Typically I've just walked in from picking them up at the station.

The game is the day after the final so it's not really crucial but I agree I can't see him being involved. Would be great if he came back to Manchester for the day though. Those hoping for Ronaldo are going to be disappointed. Even if he wanted to do a 5 minute cameo, Madrid wouldn't release him at such a crucial moment.
Have a little bit of a think about it and put it into perspective before you say too much.
I did. Doesn't change the fact though that I've now got train tickets, which can't be changed or refunded - I've checked with the train operator - which will get us into the city centre minutes before kick off.
