They have a very easy group though.
They have never beaten United before and I don't think they will start now. Plus, they lack a top quality striker, someone who puts the ball in the net regularly. Having said all that, Aimar is looking outstanding....</strong><hr></blockquote>
they always flatter to deceive.....come the knock out stages they start playing tighter and get really nervy. Can't see them doing better than quarters

I've said it before and I'll say it again - watch out for Valencia.

I'd be suprised if they don't make atleast the quarter finals. They do look shit hot

Yes,we had a pretty good team back then, though not as good (great?) as the one now.
Only making the point that 1999 was really the 'high water mark' for you lot....I don't think you have been as good since and probably you are poorer now than for quite some years. So,unlike 1999,when,being honest, you were an exceptional team, the current squad has little chance of equalling their exploits.Leaving Arsenal aside, even you must admit that the 1999 side was the best since 1967/68 (better even than 1995) and that the current team is just not as good?</strong><hr></blockquote>
Fair enough. But the question is, are the current team good enough to win the European Cup? I think they are. We might have to scrape through to the final on away goals, but we can get there. And once we get there... well the final IS at Old Trafford.

That traumatic experience was erased from his memory by Drs Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Juan Seba Veron...
