Yes yes yes. I think the only mistake made on RDR/RR was that we appointed too many admins. When Weaste created the original site we only had Weaste, Slabber and myself. Which I think worked much better.

Points can add up to a banning.
5 current points is a short banning (48 hours I think), 10 is a week banning, and 15 means we don't ever have to look at you again until you show up shitstirring in the newbies with a new identity.
We look at how many points someone has before deciding on punishments, and it is a lot harder to get that 5th point than it is to get the first couple. On the other hand, pissing off the mods can make it easier - just human nature.
Warnings count for absolutely FA. They are totally meaningless in the grand scheme of things, just literally a polite warning that there is a problem.
Only you and the mods can see your points and warnings, and why.

PS. We've got the rules pretty obviously highlighted in the newbies now, and we moderate a lot harder in there to filter out the prats and twats.
Most of us are still around just too busy with other things in real life to post much at present, although I'm not sure going out on the lash with Niall last night counts as an excuse for not being here to sort out all your gripes on here Mickey. I am also doing a few bits behind the scenes when real life isn't getting in the way which will hopefully all see the light of day in the near future.
Stoney's admin rights were taken back after he stopped posting here but will be restored the moment he turns up again. They were only pulled because having totally absent admins is a security risk and while that may smack of paranoia given all the gayness over RR and SA it's not wholly unfounded.
As for the rules on here, we make them up as we go along. The simple fact is that Niall gave a few of us additional rights on the site to prevent anarchy and reduce the risk of him needing to employ lawyers again, we do try to manage the site without disruption and warnings like the one you got are not worth crying over, the rules have been stated a number of times but even if you did miss them you only got a slapped wrist for it.
