Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

His names gotta be a pisstake surely?

Glad to see youngsters continue to get a chance though, even if it was a bit of a risk being only 1-0 up.

He should just put Cameron on the back of his shirt. Normally I don't like that, but his name starts at his left arse cheek, goes up to his neck and finishes at his right cheek.

Surprised when he came on, I thought he was a CB. He looks a bit like Screech from Saved by the Bell.

that 2024 English WC winning team with Loftus-Cheek, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kenwood-Cleevion, Prowse-Ward, Borthwick-Jackson. Immemorizable legends.

Credit to LvG for bringing CBJ on, Rojo looked the most likely to get sent off.. Took a risk and placed his faith in the kid and it paid off.. In his last few seasons Fergie's reluctance to play youngsters at times was frustrating.

Seeing CBJ, Lingard, Tuanzebe, Pereira, McNair and Wilson being given a shot in the 1st team must be a great motivator for the youth team players

Probably LVG thinks he can use his height at defending. Will be a massive confidence boost to be trusted at that situation.

Very big call to bring him on today when LVG did. Can't really tell much from this game, other than he can take throw ins. Good to see another youth product getting a game at least.

Congrats for a first match under real pressure. With little help from Basti but still managed to stay cool enough and did not crack which could be something quite normal for a player in his age and current club hierarchy.

Props to the boy for a tidy debut appearance, but it was still somewhat of a reckless substitution decision by LvG.

Physically hes too skinny right now I think, Sessegnon tried to take advantage of him straight away, good thing Schweinsteiger, and lingard were helping him out

When he was in Ajax he played them all season and to be honest it made match more exciting.

He took the risk and wasn't disappointed.

Something Fergie would have done in his younger days.

Lvg once again showing that age is just a number for him, sends such a great message to kids at the club.

Was shitting bricks, he looks like he shits bricks as well.

Risky at 1-0 and wba isnt exactly a walk over.

Keeps it tidy. But tbf he didnt get much to do from what I've seen on telly.

But anyway. Congrats for the debut

Don't agree at all about the reckless part, Rojo was on a Yellow plus a foul and Lvg didn't want to risk going down to 10. Also more than going down to 10 what can happen in this situation is that your lb could become a bit circumspect and hesitate in getting tight or putting a challenge in so if you trust your kids than there is nothing reckless about it.

He was brought on because Rojo was injured. It was a nice show of faith but I think people are overplaying the boldness of the sub - he was forced into it and the only alternative was bringing on a midfielder, playing Carrick at CB and Blind at LB. Not sure bringing him on was any bolder than that.

Not sure it was spoken about but you can see Rojo grimacing and LvG asking him how bad it was.

Well done to the kid. Big moment for him to come on. Did well.

Happy for him. Hope hes takes a huge boost from this and pushes on when given chances.

There was a period where people predicted that LvG gonna break United tradition.

Rojo was on yellow, Shaw being out means, he is too valuable for us.. sessegnon showed good feet against rojo and was getting plenty of time there. the decision was a bit risky but it was WBA home, 15mins to go... it worked out well...actually great to see LVG making such decisions, if anything for the lad it is a huge experience

Schweinsteiger seemed to be covering for him quite a bit but overall it was a comfortable enough debut without him really doing anything. Good to see he was given a chance.

Thought it was quite cute the way Lingard helped take charge of that side and see him through, almost like a final initiation ceremony for him "right, you're a first team player now, look after the new kid".

Had Lingard in front shepherding him, and Blind close behind him in case he made a howler. Was solid for the little he had to do, but really pleasing to see LVG blooding more youngsters.
