Well, if you had Phil Jones and guessing on £100k/week, you'd also lose Hazard from him injuring him. Costing you an additional £250k/week long with who ever else he kills in training.

I think he's better than Chong. A good bit better, actually.

Goes without saying really, Chong has a long way to go still, his future is far from certain.
He's a year younger than Chong and is a full international and has had £30 million plus bids from Bayern Munich rejected as not enough. Every player develops differently but I don't think anyone can really say Chong has shown as much promise in their respective careers.

Best performing forward since he's been at the club. Has made two separate comebacks under a coach that did not know or like how he played best.
To question whether Martial has enough fight in him is nonsense. If Callum Hudson Odoi or Sancho came, Martial should be tried up top as he won't be absolutely as needed as he was on the left wing anymore and can actually play up front where he can shine with his dribbling and finishing, especially playing with one or two intelligent, skillful young wingers for the first time in his career.

Really quick and eager to get the ball and would try to cross if he couldn't cut inside. Nowadays he doesn't seem to do that. If he can't cut in and shoot he will dally on the ball then make a short pass to Pogba, Shaw or Rashford. If he can get that energy back maybe he can succeed on the left. Otherwise, I would have CHO left and alternate Martial and Rashford up front.

Ask the person who said he was "easily" better. I didn't.
Right now it's not really much of a contest. Not sure how anyone could argue differently. Even Greenwood has looked more comfortable at first team level than Chong has. Doesn't mean we should bin Chong off, but we're going to need more patience.
Chong needs a couple of years more development. He's a great talent but he's not ready for the physicality of first team football. His decision making is questionable on the ball too. He needs to learn when to pass, what pass to make and when to hold on to the ball.
I hope it's the age thing as i've not seen him put consistent performances in a string of matches. Also i'm worried he's a bit injury prone. Gets injured every 8-9 matches which is a concern.
Don't think martial can play uptop as a single striker in a 4-3-3. I don't see the willingness to make the run which is a very difficult trait to learn. I feel he could be a good support striker though. I wish we had younger Zlatan playing next to Martial up top.

I’m very confident CHO will extend once Hazard departs. He’s actually had plenty of appearances considering he just turned 18 a few months ago. His agent has done a super job of getting him a massive new contract, fair play.

I rate CHO as highly as anyone. I seen him live v Arsenal in Dublin during preseason and his talent was obvious (before people only started paying attention when Bayern were interested in him) but selling Martial and replacing him with CHO would be utter madness. Martial is currently a far better player and there is no guarantee how an 18 year old will develop. Yes Martial is 5 years older at 23, but Man United do not need be be selling talented players in their early/mid 20’s entering their peak years, for an 18 year old.

Chong has a lot of areas he'll need to improve if he's to have any chance here. I've been pretty surprised by all the clamour to see him in the first team.
Hudson-Odoi looks a far bigger talent and seems ready for PL football already.
I expect him to stay at Chelsea on a fat new deal.

Chong is not as great as people think. He is a decent player at youth level. City had Sancho, Foden and Diaz. If we were to compare then Greenwood would be in the category of Sancho and Hudson Odoi. Gomes would be in that second tier with Foden. And Chong probably wouldn't even be on Diaz level. He could improve drastically and prove everyone wrong but he seems to be a very average player. Hudson Odoi can easily become a Sterling level player and if he has the mentality he will surpass him. He has better physical attributes then Sancho. Whereas, Sancho is currently better technically. This could be down to playing time and the fact Sancho faces weak opposition.
Basically the only reason for the hype surrounding him at the moment. Bayern scouts must’ve seen something in him that I can’t put my finger on whenever I watch him. Jordan Ibe and Januzaj showed more talent.

To be honest I don't know a lot about Greenwood. He must be incredible to be in the same tier as Hudson-Odoi/Sancho and be a tier above Foden! Personally I wouldn't put Foden a tier below Hudson-Odoi/Sancho, that would be a bit harsh I think. Also Sancho does not face weak opposition - out of everyone, he's the only one that had a consistent run of games at a really high level!

Chong is 19. At that age Martial was playing for Monaco. Rashford was scoring goals for the first team. Mbappe was tearing teams apart. Sancho is putting up 8 goals + 12 assists. Hudson Odoi who is a year younger has 4 goals in the Europa league and is playing for England, whereas Chong doesn't play for the dutch team. Maybe you shouldn't take yourself seriously instead. Chong is average.

Both are young and raw. But there's nothing I see that's special about Chong.
I see something in Greenwood and Gomes but Chong is yet to show me anything.
The Chelsea fans on here are hurting bad. Incredibly naive if they think we couldn't get CHO here if both parties want to do the deal. Even if it means waiting a year, in which case they'd have no say in the matter.
