What's the campaign like on this? Any good?

Haven't played the main game all that much lately but I can't wait for this
It's free btw for anyone who didn't buy the actual game.
I might actually try it. Noy sure about all the reviving and being trios, but the armour and weapon systems look better than Blackout.
Disappointed its BR. Hoping it was something fun. Oh well.
Another BR. Just what the gaming world needs.
Looking forward to trying it. Not sure it’ll have the addictive nature of Apex Legends and Fortnite though.
Definitely will check this out tonight after seeing some gameplay footage. CoD and CoD2 are the only ones I’ve ever played in my life, on a PC with m&k and that was like 15 years ago and they are still my personal all time favourites.

Trying to figure how everything works and learning to use new guns while being completely new to a game can be so much fun.
Going by the leaked gameplay it seems the tempo of the game is actually good and high, looting doesn’t take too long, the Gulag is interesting. That plunder mode seems fun as well, no idea if it’s been around in other CoD’s like Blackout.

BR is all good, but if you're not about average at FPS they're a complete waste of time. Matchmaking is non existent so you're always up against at least a couple of pros
It's a free game that doesn't affect the main franchise. I mean, what are people actually moaning about? What exactly do you want?

I'm quite good at FPS's, but find BR a complete waste of time anyway. Not to mention incredibly boring. Obviously i'm in the minority here; they're hugely popular for a reason. But yeah, really don't get the appeal personally.
Why doesn’t it grab you?
On a wider note, is it only trios? Huge mistake if so because they could have grabbed all the players who don’t play Apex as it doesn’t have solos or duos. Missed opportunity.
I haven't played myself yet, but I heard earlier you can drop solo/duo though you will be up against trios. Which with all the ways to come back to life, would be pretty insane to do tbh.
From what i can gather, it's trios at launch, yeah. They'll probably add duos and solos later i would expect.
As for why it doesn't grab me, it just doesn't appeal to me and how i typically play online shooters. I like the fast pace of die, respawn, die, respawn, etc. I just find BR incredibly boring. There's often a lot of down time to collect loot for 10-15 minutes, then you get shot from nowhere and you have to start all over again. It just seems like a massive waste of time, personally.
Again, i know I'm in the minority here, and i know people play it and they don't have a problem with the down time, but that's my experience with it. I also thought we were reaching a bit of a tipping point with the genre, but maybe not. Although i'm not sure how big Blackout really was in the previous COD game. I know it started off well, but it was nowhere near Fortnite or Apex.
Fair. I'm the opposite, I'm not a huge fan of BR's (gave up on Fortnite and never got into Apex) but something like Tarkov is right up my street (never play it btw, you'll top yourself!). It's the tense situations of kill or be killed I like, I've been playing Multiplayer shooters since the start and I'm done with the die-respawn-rush in aspect of stuff like Cod.
I think this will differ to Blackout in that it's accessible and cuts down the weapon/armour system of that, plus the money (radical heights style) and the gulag if you die are interesting additions that may just set it apart. I mean I'll probably get bored of it myself pretty quickly, as Tarkov has taken me down a new road, but from watching this I think the potential is there.
@Redlambs any news of Tarkov coming to Xbox, it looks great, but no chance I'm buying a PC just to play it.
It's very unlikely to be honest, the devs are very set on their vision and there would be too many concessions to make for it to work on a console I think. Never say never, but I wouldn't hold out on it.

Loving it! Getting absolutely smashed by everyone but with your mates it’s a right laugh trying to rescue them and then fighting in the gulag, and being able to spectate your team mates in the gulag and tell them where the enemies are too.
Haven't they basically had this mode out for the mobile version for months?
A bit pissed it's only trios at the start. I'd rather go solo and have time to figure out good drops and the different maps within the warzone, can't be arsed playing with other people untill I get a good run of it
Is solo planned? Would much prefer that.

Played a couple of rounds solo, enjoyed it so far.
Positively surprised at how good this is straight off the bat. I didn't like Blackout much at all but this is simple and intuitive.
Low TTK but there's a number of ways you can respawn if you're playing as a trio.
Means there's a lot of players even in the smaller circles, so it escalates quite quickly and can go from 0-100 fast.
The cash element is alright but a bit weird on some aspects. We keep pooling cash asap to buy a loadout drop, which essentially allows the 3 of you to pick one of your custom classes from the main game including everything that comes with it (overkill, 2 lethals etc). Fun but probably a bit OTT and makes the looting element quite pointless.
In fairness it doesn't seem like many other teams are doing the same as when we kill they are dropping random loot (it specifically tells you if it's a players weapon setup and that rarely happens)

It's a lot of fun but I just don't jive with having to team up with two other randoms right away. I'd like to get a good lay of the land first before doing that. I cant really talk on the headset late at night so you either just end up following whoever ends up being the most bossy of the guys you team up with or end up with one or two like minded folk who just want to go solo and just fecks off putting you at a major disadvantage right away.
Was unpayble for me last night with the lag and glitchy jumping. Anyone else?
First game gives you decent impression of the mode. Starts 15 minutes in.

Yeah, it’s so good. If I do have to self isolate for any reason the timing of this game is perfect

Played BR for the first time ever. And I won my first match. Fecking delighted. 
Got 6 kills. Only 2v2 in the last moment. Found them hiding in the container. The 1v1 in the gulag is a cool idea. Though it's only fun when you've a good team. Otherwise it's just gonna suck with idiotic teammates that don't stick together.

Yeah definitely, played with my mate for the first time today after playing with randoms and it's so much better
Its an unwritten law that your third fill teammate just fecks off across the map and then starts pinging revive 5 seconds later.
Really impressed with this overall, theyve managed to combine a massive map, make it somewhat realistic and still be fun
