Oh don't worry, I believe I have time now to actually do what I want for the 100th! The script has been there for months, it's just that with the insanity in my life right now I wanted to make sure I could pull off what I have planned before I promise it. It will be worth the wait though.
After that the comics will go back to how they started, pure off the cuff piss-takes.

ANNOUNCEMENT
For the whinging gimps who keep asking and pm'ing me!
I don't know if any of you have noticed, but the Caftards! production has slowed down a lot lately. No, it's true. Anyway, there's a reason for this, which is to do with the 100th, and is deliberate (not down to laziness!).
Since my Fiancee and I are expecting our first baby in November, I've been getting less and less time to myself (and much poorer), which has also eroded my will to do anymore Caftards. This time a fortnight ago I decided that the 100th comic would be re-written to be the last.
However, due to my super-genius powers of persuasion (and a hint of perversion), I managed to drag my better half into a store and she allowed me to buy myself a Laptop with mobile internet access. Yes people, I convinced her it would allow me both spend quality time with my newborn, plus work on my numerous projects going - specifically Caftards. No you cannot kiss my feet, but I may one day write a book on the art of bullshitting your loved one.
This brings me to my point, I have three major announcements:
Firstly, I've registered www.caftards.com/www.caftards.co.uk to build a website around the Caftards. Now this doesn't mean they won't be posted in this thread anymore, far from it, this is their home. What the website will allow me to do is primarily host the comics on another more reliable webspace, I'll also be able to post synopsis on the comics for those who might not have read the related threads/get the in jokes, plus it's vitally important to what's coming with the 100th comic. I will be building it over the next few weeks, and will of course post in this thread when it's live. Unfortunately this also means I have the laborious task of transferring all the comics over and then editing my posts in this thread to suit
Secondly, there will be a third season of Caftards, and probably most importantly, they will be going back to basics. 3+ per week and all (but the first) will be completely off the cuff based mainly on threads I see posted that day, just like the originals were. This will allow me to go back to being sarcastic more rather than trying to be clever. To whet the appetites, the first of S3 will be based on a long overdue topic: Baz's wall. If any of you gimps have missed that thread, I suggest you go look for it.
Lastly, now I have a gameplan and can achieve what I wanted, the 100th comic will not be far away. It's scripted and ready to make, so it won't take more than a couple of days to a week. It's the part after that will take longer...
I'd like to thank everyone for reading them, even if they raise a few giggles it's worth it. I'll be needing your support in the future on the 100th and the website to make them work, so bear with me.

seriously wtf is going on with caftards? i wish to know of any future plans for it. i can even foresee a potential website for it. i will pm redlambs to see what is what. he could have at least made an announcement or something.

The website-idea sounds interesting as well, though I don't think you should hope for much interest outside of The Caf, if that's what you're hoping for - the comics are a bit too 'inside-joke'. Though hopefully I'm wrong and it'll end up a success.
If I may come with a suggestion for the site: Make a character section with a dossier/biograhy for each character you're using in the comics - and of course with a picture of the character as you've pictured him next to the text.
Of course a rating system and most viewed (today, this week, last month, overall) would be useful as well, though I'm sure that's already something you have decided to do.

Nope, I'm not doing it so much for outside web hits, it's just a better way of keeping things neat and store the comics since I'm getting rid of my current webspace soon. Plus it will have a major role in the 100th.
I have also often thought about doing a similar comic specifically taking the piss out of football stories/players, but it depends on if my new setup is going to be as quick as I expect.
