Buying a PS3 game right now

Bought uncharted on Friday. Started it on Sunday morning and finished it last night. I got alarmingly stuck into it. Just wondering is there any point playing on the hardest level. Soemtimes I find there aint much difference between that and the normal level?
You have to play crushing (I assume you played on hard and thus have unlocked it) in a different way to hard. You have to use cover much more otherwise you'll die a lot. However, by using cover more allows the enemies to flank you more. It's a different experience.

Missus is demanding one or two titles to put on my Christmas list. Any thoughts, cnuttos?
Most recent games purchased were PES2009 (slightly underwhelming but not as bad as many would make out) and LBP (kind of charming but can't get away from the fact that it's Manic Miner in fancy clothes)
Favourite games of last year were Uncharted and COD4 (at least I think it's 4, the one about Modern Warfare anyway)

For my likes, see above. Basically like anything going apart from turn-based RPG nonsense, like Final Fantasy. Particularly fond of TPS and the like. Bit gutted that Gears of War is X-Box only, for now.

Manic Miner was ace, by the way. But times they are a changing. Space Invaders was also superb but I would be somewhat overwhelmed if a re-make of Space Invaders was launched with the same fanfare as LBP.
EDIT: Good shouts there, URR, Resistance was much more fun than any launch title had a right to be. If there's a sequel out, I'm there
Why don't you go with Resistance 2 and say 2 downloadables like R&C Quest for Booty, WipeOut HD, Siren, etc.?
That's two votes for Resistance 2 now. It's now officially on the Santa list
Not so sure abpout downloads, as the missus will probably want something tangible to hand over. I'll definitely put them on my "to buy" list though.
