Bundesliga 2017/18

Last year I asked if a match could be played underwater, we might soon have an answer if this weather continues.

Leverkusen....
Really nice to see the video ref making a difference right away though.

wtf, Leverkusen is missing everything. They should have scored at least 2.

Leverkusen have missed so many chances, could have been a very good game had they scored few.

Bayern aren't impressive at all, despite leading 3-0. People are already crying about this season being boring, but if they don't improve they will drop a lot of points, they create very little from open play and seem quite vulnerable at the back.

Brandt is their best player, understand why Bayern wants him, looks great
He tore it up off the bench in their cup game last week. Involved in all three goals and had two assists. Thought it was dumb that he was on the bench again today and has been lively since he came on, if a bit selfish for the earlier chance.

He is a class act, as soon as he touches the ball you can see he has it. Just now with the assist

VAR utilized extremely well, can't wait to see it utilized in all the major competitions.

As for the match, Leverkusen had some good chances and look dangerous when attacking.

Should've been yellow, could've been red for Bellarabi. Very cnutish.

Surprised Dortmund seemingly aren't interested in him as a Dembele replacement.

Leverkusen already sold Calhanoglu, Chicharito, Toprak. They won't be too keen to add more to that list. Probably especially reluctant to sell to Dortmund since they've been raided by them quite a bit in recent years.

I also don't rate Brandt that highly - sure he's a good talent, but I don't see him as a world class talent. He also seems to have a tendency for complacency to me. Another factor might be that he afaik has a moderate release clause for next summer (something around €20m iirc), so interested clubs might simply prefer to wait another season.

Wants to stay for another year at Leverkusen before the world cup and play a better season. Think he is nailed on for Bayern, were rumours of him having an agreement to join them next season.

Again one more chance missed. Bayern are looking very average.
