Honestly I don't think we should spend any money in this transfer window. There is no way Ole is our manager next season so the last thing we need to do is spend £60m on a player who our next manager might not fancy at all.

If I were him i'd wait for someone else to come in for me in the summer. What on earth would attract any decent player in their prime here!?

I’ve been a huge muppet the last 6 years hoping the next signing will be the one to change things, but after this season I’ve realised signings will only go so far to change our situation, much bigger changes are needed from Ole upwards, I’m no longer excited about Bruno, I’m normally an optimist but I can’t do it anymore.
Think that's partly down to fair play restrictions on a lot of clubs for whom his cost is a significant one. Think there'll be more takers in the summer once they've been lifted.
Exactly my thoughts. Ole is not good enough and United is not a training wheels club. Get a proper coach and do rebuild properly.

I have serious basis to believe Poch or any new manager will be in for a rude awakening, perhaps in first months of their reign.
Any player with an ounce of common sense would avoid this club like the plague right now. At least, if they want to progress as competent footballers. The only reason any player would come here is for the money.

No point buying a play maker if when he gets the ball there is no movement ahead of him, tonight at times you could see when they had the ball, it's sideways cause there's no movement, ball to feet and nothing ahead of him moving, at times there was statute's in knock moving more than our forwards.
That's the other issue. He will have to keep shooting from distance as no one is going to bother moving for him. We'd need to bring in someone for him to pass to as well.
I'd rather sign nobody and things get so bad they sell the club. No more papering over cracks. We sign Bruno and we will be back in same trouble in 12 months anyway. Club is rotten.

Gary Neville said it the other day - we need 5 or 6 players. He's spot on. Bruno would be a great start. We desperately need a striker this window too, I think we saw today how toothless we could potentially be for the rest of the season. We need someone decent too, not just another body. Surely, surely, surely this board has to spend now.
