rusty but completed the 45 without any problems
Watched most of the match. Here are some observations. Lee Martin did well alone up front despite not being a striker. Tosic was good once again, although should have taken his chance in the dying minutes. Good 45 min run out for Wes. Could be ready for Tottenham on the weekend. Drinkwater is a live wire while Corry Evans impressed me with his goal and overall play. Eckersley is really solid also. Cameron Stewart was very effective and lively tonight, unlike the last two recent reserve appearances. United sorely needed a Macheda to close out the game.
They showed Federico Macheda and Davide Petrucci sitting together in the stands watching the match, just wondering how much longer Petrucci will be out for now. PS18, or anyone else who would know, do you know what the last game that Petrucci played for our Reserves/Academy was? It must have been in early February I think, maybe even that match where he scored the free kick - not too sure. The groin injury must have been a bad one, hopefully we'll see him playing very soon.
Fabio missed against Rochdale too didn't he? Has he scored a pen?
Yeah he's scored at least a couple, it might even be that he's scored 2 and missed 2. Not completely sure.
2 scored, 2 missed yeah. Scored against... Boro, and the game where we got two pens and he got one, Kiko the other. Bolton?
Bolton it was. That game saw Petrucci's last appearance as well incidentally, 12/2/09.
Cheers PS18, been practically 2 and a half months out injured. It's a shame but hopefully he'll come back and end the season on a high.
am i the only thats starting to ge excited by Tosic??? seems a totally different player now. BTW Martin will make a good premiership player, not at United though.
I would like to see him get another season with us just in case, he has really stepped up a notch since he returned from the loan, he's a real worker, good pace and seems to adapt well to being played in different positons.
Plenty there to be excited about. Arguably our best player tonight.
I think Tosic has really good potential. I think he'll suprise a few people.

Currently injured. Wasn't he due to return soon, as I recall (read it somewhere) he'd soon be match fit, if someone can confirm this though?
He's been close to returning for about 3 weeks now, guess the injury is lingering. I've got a feeling he'll be on the bench for the academy or reserves very soon though.

No, you're not. As I pointed out in their last game, he looks stonger and far more assured in a very short time. Next season will be very interesting for "Bambi".

Yeah. Hope it's not another like Gazza's 2 weeks. Very promising lad and I hope him to be back in action soon, as he's pretty exciting to watch.

Tosic, physically, how good?
What does it matter? he's too old now to ever be good enough.
Tiny, a bit lacking in strength, but he's tough and he's got a low center of gravity. Seems to have put in a lot of hours in the gym since he arrived and I'm sure he'll be fine come the start of next season.
