Not one to defend ETH, at all, but my reading of that is that Amad hasn’t played a lot of football, and he’s protecting him for the cup final. He was probably our best player today, and last week.

Look at who he has taken off….Martinez, Fernandes, Mainoo, Amad…..all key players for the final (and Amrabat…..but just so Varane could come into CB and Casemiro midfield).

My guess is that he’s hoping to start Varane and Martinez in the cup final, and Case, Mainoo, and Bruno in midfield. I’d guess Amad, Garnacho and one more up front. Maybe Hojlund. But potentially McTominay.

16 goals ain’t bad at all! He shouldn’t have been our first team (only) striker all season, but that’s not his fault. Would have been much better if he had a senior striker to work with.
