In the first 5 mins you can already see Pogba and Bruno are luxury midfielders, excellent at what they do but they aren’t midfield ‘generals’ that will be workhorses, breaking up play and full of energy. I know Bruno has a lot of energy and helps with pressing but you really need a CDM that is urgent.

Am I imagining things or is our squad simply too heavy and too slow? Rashford and Greenwood seem to be the only players we have on the pitch who actually have a decent acceleration. Even Martial who looked positively rapid when he joined seems to be nothing more than average when it comes to his speed.
