<strong>I was reading a quote on teletext this morning from Risdale. It was something like
"we've received no bids. If he asks for a move we'd turn him down. Were does Rio think he is going...into thin air?"</strong><hr></blockquote>
And yet, instead of forcing Rio to say SOMETHING, which he surely has the right under the circumstances (assuming Ridsdale is telling the truth), he keeps talking to the media (subsequently, the fans) instead.
What does that tell you?

The only snag in the move is what PFA executive Taylor mentioned the other day:
"sporting sanctions would apply not only to him but also to the club that signed him. That club could be fined, have points deducted or even excluded from competitions. It is very unlikely anyone would risk that."</strong><hr></blockquote>
This is only in the case Ferdinand walks out on Leeds, under new FIFA regulations. But if Leeds and United agree a fee (whic his the only way this can go, Ferdinand will not walk out on Leeds and we won't agree to be a part of something like that), then those regulations don't play a role at all.

Whats the point of bidding? You either get it accepted or rejected. No point in doing that while the clubs are in negotiations anyway.
