Breaking - Elon Musk says he will not buy Manchester United

Next years pre season on the Moon? Would still be a better atmosphere than at the empty had :)

I want to see signs with Musk's name on them at the Liverpool game.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, just fecking do it so we're rid of the Glazer parasites.

His engineers got a car into space.
I swear he’s an engineer by background? I think he’s a bit of a silly boy online but I don’t doubt his smarts in tech and business.
Guys, he's probably reading this. Can we be nice, you know.....just in case? We wouldn't want to hurt his feelings and scupper a sale.
Let’s get some Elon banners going at Liverpool lads
It would affect the share price, he cannot just tweet this since he has the means to do it. He could cover it and say he bought some stock in it I guess. Elon is much better than Glazers.

He also backed out of Twitter (or trying to) because the price dropped dramatically and he is overpaying. United share prices won't drop significantly.
So if I’m reading this right he can’t just say this flippantly? From what I’ve read about the Twitter thing he did things right, they weren’t upfront with their data and made major business decisions without him.
We're just proving we're not bots.
Maybe he could buy the Caf instead of Twitter…Elon lad there’s a long process to get verified on here, no need to worry about that side of things!

No wonder the rumours about Felix emerged, we’re paying Atleti with Tesla shares…

Alex Stewart (he of Curmudgeon guy on TIFO videos fame) tweeted that he thought we had evolved into a high concept shit post and I don't disagree.
Or a high concept football manager save for Elon?

Guy is a total prick BUT he brings publicity. Net net this is a positive because hopefully some actual people with money and desire to own the club go for it.

On the same level as the Saudi's buying United for me. I'd stop supporting the club if Elon bought it.

In what universe are they on the same level?

Musk is a bit of a dildo, but he isn't evil.
He's got some proper questionable business practices in the US and ideas about how workers should work.

His family's money is also not clean but I agree he's not as BAD as the Saudis.

lol! Underrated post imo

In truth, I feel a bit guilty about it because I like what John Murtough is doing with some background moves made in the structure and I think that in time those.moves will start to pay off but they will take a.year.or.so at least.

But also, it was funny.

It's a desperate state of affairs when I'm sat here wishing it was actually true. At least it would be better than some sports-washing regime or the Glazers.

With the amount of publicity he generates, combined with our already huge global pull he could probably even make it a worthwhile investment for himself.

Hopefully he fires Murtough into space on a Tesla.

I don't think there is anybody on Earth in a position to buy this club that you wouldn't be able to dig out a bucketful of stories written by people with axes to grind.

I'll settle for someone who doesn't oppress, rape and murder.

When a one line joke makes the news. It's a throw away line, i highly doubt he has even considered actually doing it.

We have to wait until the NYSE opens.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did not know we were publicly traded when he tweeted it.

We may be a finished club but no other club gets this much attention after two losses at the start of the season
