Germany are better on paper but I have been surprised by their lethargy, and impressed by Brazils pressing and energy, despite their talent not being all that great. Tough one to call. Whoever concedes first, might struggle to find a way back in.

I think it's weak refereeing rather than anything more sinister but, for the sake of the credibility of this tournament, the semi-final needs a strong referee. Without their two best players due to injury and suspension, I can see Brazil trying to roughhouse Germany off the pitch as they are not good enough to outplay them. Also, it will be truly depressing if such a cynical (and ultimately limited) manager as Scolari wins a second World Cup. He combines the worse aspects of Mourinho with a fraction of the talent.
Just an update, especially for those who said Neymar was a fairy in the 88th minute being stretchered off.

Not sure if bulking up prevents you from getting a fractured bone in your back when someone puts his knee into your back with great force.
They won't win the World Cup, there won't be protests because of that (it's a bit retarded to even think that) and the referees are influenced by the fans and the atmosphere, as they often are, but I don't think they're following some agenda to make Brazil champions.

I always see this a lot but which teams are people talking about? Teams that won the World Cup, or just past World Cup teams because we had worst team than this one and I always find it a bit unfair to compare past teams like the 1970 to teams to any of our current players even if Scolari called up Lucas Moura, Coutinho and had Diego Costa played for us they wouldn't compare to the likes of Tostao, Pele, Rivelino.
There's no conspiracy, it's just weak refereeing. Even the most experienced refs can be affected by 80,000 Brazilians going mental at a decision or calling for a card.
They mean post 82. Such a shame that side didn't win the WC - I suspect Brazil's football philosophy wouldn't have changed. Despite losing to Italy, Brazil 82 is arguably the most famous side in history. Alas winning at all costs is more important than beauty and artistry. Give me the latter at all times.

The feeling right now in Brazil is not like that at all. The pressure is already off the team, they played with immense heart with a limited squad and reached top4. Neymar being injured is another thing that makes crowd sympathetic to this team... Whatever comes from this is positive.
I agree losing to Argentina in finals would suck, but they do have their best player ever in form.
