He's absolutely atrocious. Not even a league two standard footballer
Thinking about Saturday I reckonStruggling with this as well. We're behind in a must win and he's bringing on not one but two inexperienced defenders
Unless he improves massively I’ll be amazed if he’s still a pro by 30.He's absolutely atrocious. Not even a league two standard footballer
I don't think he's played all that badly but given that we have Telles now would it really hurt to give Williams a little time and put some pressure on ?

Six months' paid-development under Hasselhof?
If he goes out on loan we'd have to promote Laird as the sub option for AWB when we're chasing a goal. Right now Williams is that attacking option and Dalot is out on loan. So my guess is that Williams doesnt go out on loan this season even if it would be good for him.
I know. But it's six months' free development under Hasselhof.
Also, Williams hardly plays anyways because Ole things. He has fewer than a hundred minutes i think. (I have no idea, but it feels that way.)
Also, also, isn't it high time Laird got a shot at having a shot.
Yes, I think he does deserve to get minutes off the bench but what happens next summer when Williams comes back from the loan wanting to play regularly and Laird doesnt want to go back down to reserve level now hes tasted the first team?
AWB is going to be first choice as hes trusted to help defend, Dalot could be sold but that still leaves Williams or Laird in limbo. Nobody is going to want to be 3rd choice
I guess the idea would be that If Williams comes back developed enough for Ole to trust him more regularly, then he gets around 1800 minutes next season and Laird goes out on loan.
Or if he goes on loan and and Laird pulls a Rashford in the latter half of this season in whatever limited minutes* he might get, then we have a new problem.
*It sure looks like Ole's going to run AWB into the ground like he's shown he has a tendency to do.
I would like to see him on the right, we have no cover for AWB
Apparently Leverkusen are interested in a permanent deal.
Made my views on him quite clear last season so don’t want to start that again. But if offers from Southampton and Leverkusen are on the table in January, I strongly suspect he will be made to regret not taking either of them, as frankly, I would say they are better teams than he should have expected.
No chance we’re getting that much for him. Probably in the £8-10m range. If they offer 20-25M we should sell, ideally with a buy back clause eventhough I don't think we'll use it.
No way they will pay their much. That would likely be the buy back, the fee would be more like 10.If they offer 20-25M we should sell, ideally with a buy back clause eventhough I don't think we'll use it.

Definitely, though doubt anyone would be willing to pay that much.If they offer 20-25M we should sell, ideally with a buy back clause eventhough I don't think we'll use it.
Why no club wants Fonsu, our main FB backup? Instead, two decent clubs want "not good enough as backup" Williams?
TFM is almost 3 years older, more injury prone and has two PL flop loans on his CV. Williams showed more potential last season than TFM ever has done.
I don't think TFM is the main backup. Williams has barely turned 20 and is still at a stage where regular games for the U23s is a learning curve. I'd be surprised and annoyed if TFM is given the nod ahead of Williams tonight.
I disagree. Fosu-Mensah looked far more promising at the back end of 15-16 than Williams ever has. He also did well at Palace until he got injured then Wan-Bissaka took his spot.TFM is almost 3 years older, more injury prone and has two PL flop loans on his CV. Isn´t that obvious a younger better palyer is more wanted than an older injury prone player of lesser quality. Why are people underating Brandon so much? Because they love more senior Luke Shaw and he wasn´t able to outperform him for more than 4 games in his first senior season? He has done very well last season hitting the ground immediately when we needed him, few average/subpar performances won´t change that. Like if Bruno Fernandes or any other senior player in our squad didn´t have any. Use the same measures people. He just turned 20.Why no club wants Fonsu, our main FB backup? If he´s not our next Rafael we could get some decent 10-15 mil for him.. great squad player regardless though. Saying all this Ole might go with a bit more "experienced" and seemingly more defensive TFM there today. What´s the worst thing which can happen is to play Williams as a wingback but I can see it coming too, none of our players can play there.
I dont think TFM nor Williams are or will be good enough, I can agree to keep Williams as a back up but with the left back currently occupied by Shaw and having Telles as a back up the only spot left to take is the back up right back.I don’t think we should. I think Brandon gets a bad rap on here and then we’d be forced into the market to replace him which’ll likely eat up most of any profit we’d make from selling him, at least if we’re to find an improvement.
If Laird could stay fit I’d have no problem selling Williams, but he hasn’t shown that yet and TFM has no future here wether Brandon stays or not.

I would preffer to buy al ready developed 25-27 year old player that can actually take AWB place. I think for 20-25M we could get a solid back up.
Ultimately we should only keep youngsters if we think they got the potential to make it here, I dont think Williams has unfortunately.
Just seems like change for change’s sake to me.
The kid has shown both talent and attitude since his promotion and I don’t see the rush to get him out unless we’ve got off-field issues with him.
If the club already has another player in the pipeline then fair enough, but I don’t see it.
I think we’d be wiser to prioritize other areas in the squad, Williams and AWB might have their flaws but they’re young and improving and I’d consider RB settled for the moment.
Attitude without a doubt, he has that Rafael "fire" in him, but talent Im not so sure, he can't even get minutes ahead of AWB who has been poor as feck this season. Even TFM seems to be higher in the pecking order. I just think we should get a player to push AWB and I don't think Williams can, not at this moment at least. Of course that could change in the future thats why I mentioned adding a buy back clause.
