Brady

Didn't feature against Leicester. Injured yet again?

You mean Hull?
I'm sure he did, I remember reading the match report and he was involved in a few of Hull's best chances.

Keane is still injured for Leicester, Lingard wasn't in the squad- if I remember correctly.

No, I meant Leicester. You're right though, he played the whole game. Saw a line-up sans his name in a paper, guess it was wrong.

Does his loan finish in January ?

Any chance of a prem loan?

I've never, for one minute, ever thought he'd be a United first-teamer to be honest. As always, happy to be proven wrong, but have my doubts.

May not be a player to which many say that he deserves a first team chance, but this guy definitely does. I sure hope he comes back in January and fights with Nani, Young and Valencia for a place. It would not surprise me if he can achieve a future with us. Very intelligent player.

Very very few from the reserves make it at the top level... So them not making it is always the safer bet..

A lot can go wrong.. even if they have the talent. Injuries, doing a Morrison, doing a Pogba... or even someone witha lower profile like a Fryers.

But I always thought he was going to be a good footballer.

He's still young.. hope he can break into the first team. No rush. A loan at a premier league club next would be nice.

I think the possibility of him breaking into the Ireland team will only help his chances with us. He'll be a premiership footballer either way...

Aye. I have no doubts he can play PL football, albeit he might find it difficult to establish himself with us with the players in front of him.

Im just happy from an Irish football point of view. Id love to see him make it at united but even if he doesnt he'll have a sound footballing basis from our academy. I agree with others that hes premiership standard.

He won't be a starter for us, but there's still a chance that he can be a decent squad/backup option.

I can't see him managing to get a career at United. He definitely has the quality to play PL football alright. Good for Ireland anyway.

He has to bee something of a longshot to make it here, but no more so than Cleverley was.

True - but Cleverley was outstanding on his lone-deal. Probably one of the players of the season in the Championship.

you make a sound point Deco.

i'd like to tag on to the second half of it as well if i may. it's curious to me how there are players that are seen week in/week out at Reserve/U21 level, who then go out on loan, do modestly well...and then end up as a perennial Football League player (not necessarily in the Championship either!) when there's a host of people like the collective us who really know and feel they can/should be playing in the PL.

i bring this up simply because i feel there are English/British (and Irish...) players who have the talent and desire to play at the highest level, but are continually being cast aside for 'cheaper' more 'proven' imports.

frustrating for those who share a passion for youth football and watching such a progression.

Rumours on RedIssue that United have accepted a £2.5 million offer from Hull for him.

I won't understand that. What is the point selling a player who's had a successful loan while he plays in a position to which we lack (3 wingers, and none have actually performed consistently this season)?

I hope its bullshit.

Brady has being playing left-wing back and impressing. I hope he stays to see him get a chance to play there for us. I think that would be his best chance of breaking into our first team.

His loan deal is over and he's back at the club right now.

In the squad for the match vs West Ham maybe? He offers genuine width down that left side.

He was doing well there. Strange if true.

PL loan on the cards or we going to use him ?>

Nothing on our official site but sky sports seem confident enough:

Hull City have agreed a fee to sign Robbie Brady from Manchester United

Sky Sports understands Hull City have agreed a fee with Manchester United to sign Robbie Brady following the winger's recent loan spell at the KC Stadium.

Brady had spent the past two months with Hull and scored once in 12 appearances before returning to Old Trafford earlier this week.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce had been keen to agree a deal to bring Brady back to the club, either on another loan or permanently, and now appears set to secure the 20-year-old's signature.

It is understood Hull will pay a fee in excess of £2million for the Republic of Ireland international, who also spent last season on loan with the Championship club.

Brady has made just one senior appearance during his United career when he featured against Newcastle United in the Capital One Cup earlier this season.

He could be joined at Hull on a long-term basis by another player who has impressed on loan after Bruce agreed a £1.5million fee with Sunderland to sign midfielder David Meyler.
Bruce is keen to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window to maintain the Tigers' push for promotion back to the top flight, with his side currently in second position, two points clear of third-placed Crystal Palace.

It's a shame he seemed to be looking promising.

Ah well, was a outside bet to make it here.

Good signing for Hull. He'll be a premiership player, so hopefully we have a sell on clause too.

I hope it's not true, I'd think he deserves a run during the summer tour and a loan to an EPL team before we think about selling him.

But then King is a decent prospect as well and we just sold him, so it could well be true.

If it does happen, it further highlights how hard it is to break into our first team.

We don't play wing-backs though?

To be honest I was never convinced he was a first-team player myself. More James MaClean level than Gareth Bale potential I reckon. The bar is just really high nowadays for a club like ours. If we step back and look at this in black and white, he's a 20 year-old international winger, who has been out of the reserves for nearly two years now, and valued at £2m. We are debating in other threads whether Wilfried Zaha - same age and playing at the same level, is good enough for us. And he's a £10m player at least.

Kings contract was running out this summer and the rumour was that he wasn't going to sign a new one. I have never thought that Brady looked good enough. He might become a decent Premier League player but he look too limited for United, 2.5m would be an excellent price for him.

are you serious?
Comparing Sky sports to that shitstain?
You have dissapointed me :D

lol yeah because they sold out and started bigging up rumors and all that. I used to like it but just ignore what they say these days unless it's been confirmed. They're just another rag to me :)

When they say Sky Sources understand with respect to unheralded players they're pretty accurate.

Yeah, they may not get everything right but cmon they are like 57474745747 times better than the Sun.
