Books written in the first person

if I had met Holden Caufield I'd have slapped the pansy.

In the modern era he would have merely brooded, listened to Marilyn Manson before going on a rampage through his school with enough weaponry to arm a small nation.

Catcher in the Rye is weird, and I do think a tad over-rated, but deserves more credit than you people seem to want to give it.

And To Kill a Mockingbird is in the first person. As is Slaughterhouse Five, I believe. And those are just two classics I can remember from the top of my head.

Isn't Dracula in the first person, too? And Frankenstein is, since it's supposed to be two people narrating their story (Frankenstein, and then Frankenstein quoting the monster).
