It’s like he was handed a vetted script from City’s PR before the game. Stating, multiple times, that City are some (any) kind of giant, doesn’t make it so. That coupled with Shearer on commentary was enough for me to turn the volume down until things got interesting in the second half.
This is the club that decided to flex against Real Madrid by putting a Champions League trophy on the way out to the pitch when they played them last time.

To be fair the Empty-had is very well connected in terms of power supply. As it is Manchester's planned temporary morgue in the event of any sort of major accident/terrorist event - the planners ensured it had lots of redundant power connections.

Just rewatching the highlights, and even a 2-3 defeat really flatters City. Madrid probably should have scored five, and the penalty was a complete gift.

Perhaps it's just Pep vs Madrid but it all seems contrived for the state club.
Totally. City looked OK in the first half, but in my opinion that was a result of how Madrid play, they will sit off at times and let teams have the ball to try and spring quick counters.
They can switch to doing more with possession when they need to as well, which they did more in the second half and it made City look more like the level they are actually at.
It's not a coincidence that they don't look great for large spells in games but more often than not create loads of chances and win the game.

I noticed that too. I think I saw a half dozen applauding and the rest standing still like statues. I thought it was Madrid fans as well, but there was hardly any movement. It almost had a fake crowd Covid feel to it.

It is not reasonable. You are now following their logic. Football didn't start 10 or 15 years ago. Regarding reputation, trophies, history etc....they are still tiers bellow United (and all other giant clubs).
Just 15 years ago they were mediocre club with mediocre history. They are still far away from being in big boys club so any comparison with Pool, United, Inter, Juve, Barca etc.....is just embarrassing.
