Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

The ridiculous thing is no matter what we achieve the media will always treat us like the poor relation who got lucky. I just hope that this season we can pull something unique off, dare I say it, a quadruple. An achievement of this magnitude would be the ultimate kick in the plums for the media and their darling football aristocracy.

To be fair that will always be the case, they're an irrelevant club.

The latest news down at BlueMoon is that the fixture list has been fixed to allow Utd an easy start in order for us to build confidence and momentum.

Now, granted, we could have got a trickier CL Group and we haven't really played a top 4 contender yet - but hang on, who have they played?!

We have both played Everton at home. We have played West Ham (H) Stoke (A) Leicester (H) Swansea (A) and Southampton (A). BTW, didn't Leicester hammer City last year?

City have played Liverpool and were, in the eyes of many, being outplayed but 1-0 ahead before Mane was sent off. Besides that they have played the indominatable might of Brighton, Watford, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace! Hardly sends a shiver down the spine does it! How they can complain about easy fixtures is beyond me - just sums up the mentality of the place tbh

The conspiracy theories about our fixtures went into overdrive last night.

I actually think their "success" (I use the term in the loosest sense of the word as I think they have massively unperformed with more than £3bn in investment) is actually over-played in the media. The only reason it is over-played is because they play in the same city as United, simple.

I would agree with that city have massively under performed, especially as the other financial big Premier League clubs have been in transitional or turbulent periods. There was a big chance to dominate and they haven't taken it, I don't think they will win anything major this year either, I expect Chelsea to win the league, Champions League with their centre-half's no chance. I expect Guardiola is the Arabs last major throw of the dice, great football man but how long will he want to stay in England. Not too long I would guess, possibly if he fails again as I expect this could be his last season here.

Do you think they genuinely don’t know the reason nobody talks about them is because nobody cares about city?

I mean they are right in what they say, they could do something amazing like beat Real only having 8 players and what ever, but nobody would care because it’s city.

That’s just the way it is, it’s what you get for supporting a nothing club.

Shows their desperation.

Bit miffed on BM, they are.

The only way this could have been more fixed is if the rags were drawn at home.

"You can stick your Carobent cup up your arse,"

"You bent b******!"

I for one won't be going.

If I was a Bristol City supporter I'd be fuming, they could have had Leicester, Bournemouth, or West Ham at home and a chance of making the semi finals, they still could of course, but its much less likely now, and I'd be equally fuming if I was a supporter of those other 3 as well.

I'm not arsed who we got, or where, or even if we continue in the competition, but that farce is one too far.

A quick glance on Twitter suggests they are pretty fecking chuffed to be having one of the biggest clubs in the world coming down to Ashton Gate.

City away to Prem opposition and Utd draw the lowest ranked team again, not at all fishy.

Didn't almost the exact opposite of that happen in the last round? City home to Wolves, United away to Swansea? Forgetting football that happened 2 days ago to fit the ragspiracy.

We should boycott the competition and tell them to f off.

Is there anything they haven't suggested boycotting yet?

Not sure what everyone is on about; quite clearly Bristol City got the easiest draw.

That's better. It's not rigged. We're just shit.

Yep - I saw the pictures-gill, pisscan, sir ticket-tout,crerand,fatty Holmes, usain bolt, chuckle bros.- they were all there to make sure there was no tomfoolery or flimflammery!

Fatty Holmes

So bitter and paranoid, they've probably got rear view mirrors on their exercise bikes.

Funniest part is they think they are a big club. Their manager is bigger than their club.

Are they forgetting that they drew us last year at Old Trafford only to blow it while looking the better side? It was Pep who fielded an under strength side against us and they went out.

I suppose it was all out fault

So they are denying they ARE the poor relation who got lucky? :wenger:

For a club who's fans claim to be above winning the cup competitions they aren't half bitter about them.

Is there anything they haven't suggested boycotting yet?

This boycotting nonsense is being used as an excuse for the multitude of empty seats on match days. They have propagated the myth for the Cup Competitions. A matter of time before they start using this excuse for PL games.

They will probably start claiming that it's an outrage they have to play any of the bottom half teams in the League. They believe they should be automatically awarded the 3 points due to the wealth of their owner. They are well bellow capacity for these games as it is though. If boycotts were staged it really would be the Emptyhad.

Was it rigged last year when they were picked to face us and lost?

"the media will always treat us like the poor relation who got lucky"

It's funny because that is EXACTLY what they are

A poor relation that got lucky is exactly what they are, I don't get how anyone could have an issue such a view?

Yep, they’re the chavs who won the lottery acting like they can lord it up. Meanwhile the self made millionaire relative still looks at them a bit pitifully over the dinner table at Christmas and is occasionally embarrassed to be associated with them

Actually, the media give them an incredibly easy ride. Mad as it may be, I don't count City's trophies as genuine wins - what their owners have done has made a mockery of competition amongst clubs.

Their match threads are just like ours
This is our life now and a by product of being so much better than everyone else. Negative, 8 behind the ball at all times, timewasting shite. I expect nothing less next week either.
There we go. Fully deserved. We are shite and have been for 3 or 4 games but Sterling has masked it.
It's been getting worse with each passing week. We could actually lose here unless someone gets a bit of fire in their belly.
Maybe this will stop all our fans bollocks about smashing everyone 5 0 and United have no chance of catching us..weve been shit for weeks and none of this is surprising
Big elephant in the room guys... Aguero’s form.
This is getting ridiculous, worst team in the league coming to our ground and outplaying us

Completely agree with this. The media hardly ever pull them up on their outrageous good fortune. They fawn over Guardiola without ever mentioning he's spent 400m in 18 months and they've spending record-breaking sums for nearly a decade.

Elephant in the room, that has to be someone from here surely.

@Lentwood - duh, that's why I said it is like reading one of our match threads :p

More quotes:

If we get a draw out of this today, it will be amazing. We seem like we have just met before kick off. WHU have done what they came to do. We don’t seem to have the answer to break them down.
It’s a real test for us now. IMO we will be lucky to get a draw. We aren’t able to get through their 9 man defence.
Just a continuation of a recent downward trajectory in form. Pep really needs to get this shit sorted out its last season post Celtic all over.
Pretty wank so far.
Performance reminscent of the latter Pellegrini years - utterly half-assed in everything, both going forward and defensively.
They’ve been better than us and deserve to be in front. Which is pretty sobering.
Need a quick response start of the second half.

and the caf favourite that I see here almost weekly:

What is it with these shit teams playing out of their skin against us and then allowing other teams to dick them?

I can’t tell whom I dislike more, these or Liverpool. It was always clearly Liverpool but the lines are blurring.

Same here, ever since the Gerrard slip, the Scousers don’t seem to matter any more.

Whereas City have adopted the holier than thou attitude of Barca...

BBC Sport Top Rated Comments goes into meltdown:

Where does Liverpool's money come from? Their own success as a club over the years.

Where does Liverpool's status come from? From decades of mixing it up at the top (ish).

Where does citeh's money come from? From a disgusting, archaic, human rights flaunting arabic oil royalty.

Where does citeh's 'status' come from? From arabic oil money - not money that was even earned the dirty way (like, say, Chelsea).

citeh are scum in my opinion, they're actually a club that is morally questionable in what it's doing to the game and where that money is coming from.

That said, I'd rather they won the PL than Liverpool... why? Because this citeh aren't really Man City anymore - they've been hollowed out and replaced with an arabic oil core that has nothing to do with the club's success or history, and deep down their sad fans know this.

Both sets of fans are highly cretinous, but the scouse can't handle success without turning into utter muppets of unbearable levels. Whereas citeh are expected to win the PL.

I wouldn't know, I was only born at the end of the 80s (lolzy)
