I really hope they come up against Real Madrid in the CL. They will get absolutely demolished, the players he is asking to do all the pressing simply don't have it in their DNA. I honestly think I could take the ball past aguero/de bruyne/Jesus/ same the way they sprint full pelt towards the ball. If teams can just be confident enough to pass the ball around at the back they'll tire those players out.
I actually agree with this, Pep over complicates things

It worked at barca because whatever he did, the team he put out was miles better than all but one team in the league, and maybe 3 teams in the CL. Even after all the money spent, city are not that far ahead of even the worst team in this league that they can overcome ridiculous set ups every single time.

This is funny because the reason city were so bad in the first half was precisely because they hurried things looking to create those quick guilt-edged chances against everton open defence instead of slowing things down and control the game

People are starting to get frustrated with him but keen to say they are still believers.
They were all chances but they weren't sitters. Aguero should and would have done better but lost his footing (I think haven't seen it back), Sterling was wide of the post and running at full pelt so tough and Silva again was wide of the posts and was actually a decent effort.
They are kidding themselves if they think they carved Everton open and created chance after chance because that's just not how the game went

Not a chance he ever goes back to Barca, especially with an aging Messi & dominant Real. He's clever enough to know how lucky he got having those players land at his feet. They gave him the reputation of being a football God. He won't get that lucky again.
He has failed to hit his targets at Bayern. It's looking like he's also going to fail at City. He can't afford his reputation to take any further hits as he's then done. He will be at PSG next season for an easy ride.
Reading some of those comments @Adisa posted takes me back to our own Van Gaal years, some of the complaints are strikingly similar.

Plus, while at Barca he had Messi. Managers shouldn't be judged only based on "trophies". Most importantly, it should be judged based on how a manager manages a "team", doesn't matter whether it's the best or worst team in the world.

I genuinely find it hilarious they think they are victims. I am sane (unlike the posters there) and the way I see it is the media are pro-city if anything. Reason I say that is Chelsea were hated and nobody wanted to like because of the investment whereas they wanted to like City and always suck them off and are always dying to give them credit despite spending more. Also, Chelsea were a cup winning team (fa cups, league cups, european titles) whereas City were relegation fodder. Think United have generally been treated unfairly also (always bringing up our spending whilst almost refusing to acknowledge City's despite it being more) and we get far less teams roll over for us and far less ref decisions than them also.

The media (everybody else for that matter) simply don't care about them. They try to pass it off as there being some sort of agenda / conspiracy to make themselves feel better.

Exterminate Rags!Au contraire. This time last year everyone was fawning over them and had them as runaway champions, almost like they are with us at the moment. The fact they'd moan about us being treated in such a way is just hypocrisy.
The obsession with the media is ridiculous. Each team feels the media is against them and for everyone else. which would mean they're against all and for all.. so maybe unbiased? Either way, forget it! What matters is what we think about our team and nothing else.
