Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

How are the fans dealing with the fact that they haven't been linked with a single centre half, which is by far their weakest position?

Full back is tbf, but yes CB is not far off

They've addressed right back with walker and are favourites to sign Mendy who is an outstanding left back. Haven't really heard them linked to any CB was more my point

They've released all their fullbacks and signed Kyle Walker as replacement, they're in for a bad time defensively this season. Fully expect Pep to start playing midfielders in defence this season because he's a hipster twat who tries to push the boundaries of what's 'normal' so he can profess how much of a genius he is.

True, I heard Bonnuci and Laporte earlier in the summer also heard Ignacio Martinez recently . Obviously Bonnuci is gone now.
Fullback wise they have no cover, at least they have CB cover even if the quality isn't great. Who plays RB if Walker gets injured etc its insane.

at the moment Ferna1 but I'm hoping Maffeo gets to be deputy but I think he'll be sent out on loan again, for me Zabba should have been given a 1 year extension so that Maffeo could have gone out on loan

Take the conversation elsewhere. This is the pisstake thread.

Requires a suitable gif?

If they get Mendy, Kolarov is the backup if Walker gets injured they have Fernandinho who can do a job there. Not an ideal scenario. Think they will end up getting another Right back in unless they intend to play the kid Maffeo as the backup.

And they'll still struggle to fill their stadium.

and they still say the liverpool game is there biggest game of the season hahahhahahahahaha fighting 4th 5th 6th 7th places

what would we give to see united go down the dream of them playing in the championship is bigger than manchester city winning the champions league for me

Feck me!

That would be The Maureen way. Blocking youngster with big potential because it's all about him making success.

After they're getting rid of Iheanacho???

unbelivable that they dare to talk about that topic at all. when have they ever given a youngstar from their acadamy a proper chance?

Seen this on Bluemoon in the transfer section, under the "Chelsea want Sergio" thread.

There is also feck all chance that we'd sell him to Chelsea, we'd take a big loss on him just to send him abroad in my opinion.

Now, thats what the papers say Arsenal would rather do than sell them Sanchez, but apparently that is "ridiculous, theyll take the money" acc. to bluemoon lot hmm, ok

Is it actually their stadium? Or do they still rent?

Still rent. Horrendous isn't it? Paying money every year to the city of Manchester. Perhaps there's an alternative way to do these things. Is there a shopping mall in Florida that needs supporting?

Oh you're back???

You on a death wish or something?? You just can't stay away??

you owned a better stadium that had character and history in Maine Road instead you now rent a stadium you can't fill because that's better isn't it..

Malg says hello eveyone!

For all the lurking Rags, or those viewing the thread from Ragcaf. You're all wankers. Every single last one of you. Never, ever, ever met a good Rag. You're fecktards to a man. Every single last one of you. Not one decent human being among you. Cunnts.

malg, Today at 9:29 PM

They should join together with rawk to form one big site called Teams Winning Awesome Trophies and Sisters aka TWATS for short.

So is Malg lurking? Otherwise how would he know that people have been lurking on bluemoon?

I think it's more to do with the posters over there like poor Frank who they banned last week for trying to engage in conversation with them....plus they know that we quote their shit on here. But yes, I'm sure he must swing by from time to time.

Hello malg...I extend my hand of friendship to you. :)

There are a few City fans on here who post on there too.

Obviously by doing that you're proving that all rags are cnuts

Fernandinho can't be a backup when he's the only one giving the defense cover in midfield.

I honestly think that a new CB won't solve anything when they're conceding mostly because their defense is being overexposed.

According to them, we're the bigots who look down on others, the ones who'll never truly understand what it is to support a football club, to celebrate small victories.

At the same time they attack us for celebrating success in a competition that they consider irrelevant and beneath them.

Surely they must know in their hearts that it's not the media that has the agenda, it's the media that constantly holds up the mirror and reminds them that they're not actually the good guys they're desperate for the world to see them as with painful truths.

It comes as no surprise that us being relegated is a more exciting prospect to one of them than City winning the Champions League. And if both happened in the same year, we'd still have the higher attendances the following season.

Hi Malg
As one of your potential father's, can I just say, I'm sorry one of us couldn't be there for you.
It was back when coaches allowed alcohol on board, and we were all steaming!
We'd like to have sent birthday cards but you might have felt obliged on father's day, and 56 cards at the prices they charge could financially cripple a guy.

Thanks for reaching out, and if you fancy finding out what footy with a soul feels like, there'll always be a place on the coach for our boy.

I knew a guy called Maig that was a Stockport fan. He stopped watching them in about 2008.

Nope in their heart of hearts they genuinely believe it. I know it sounds weird, its note even cognitive dissonance, that would require them to be able recognise that what they are talking is bollocks.

If your view of a football forum is based purely on quotes on a rival forum I think you should be questioning your own intelligence.

Not a member of Blue Moon though I have occasionally browsed some threads.

From my brief observation, a number of City fans seem somewhat sensitive to suggestions they might just be arriviste and nouveau not having had the glittering history and tradition that for example the big 3 ( Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal) have in terms of winning honours. They also seem to complain about a press that they see as London centric, Man Utd supporting and biased against City. They do seem to revel in this sense of paranoia and victim hood. Maybe they'll feel more comfortable in their skin when they create a bit more history and win some more honours. Who knows?

I know two categories of Blues myself:

a) Those who are very much aware that winning the lottery made it impossible for them to keep on pretending they’re a loveable and more “authentic” counterpart to the “plastic” behemoth that is United - and who don’t really like this state of affairs. They prefer, deep down, the old order of things (well, “old” is relative, but it became possible to go with the above narrative after Fergie arrived - the idea that City is somehow more “genuine” as such has existed among their fans longer and is common to certain fans of all clubs in history, more or less). In other words, they’re a bit alienated by the new regime.

b) Those who are aware of the above, but who don’t worry about it: They just enjoy being able to compete with United (and others).

The Blue Moon type of nutter is happily unknown to me on the personal level. I know people in both above categories who hate United with a vengeance, so it’s not that - but the combination of being generally bitter AND claiming some sort of moral superiority in spite of the oil money, is something I haven’t experienced in flesh and blood City fans.

David, my post seems to have been misunderstood to a large extent, possibly my inarticulate English. The post I replied to was derogatory toward City fans as a result of posts on Red Cafe that were selective quotes from Blue Moon. I made the point that anyone could quote another forum and make the posters look like idiots. There are many embarrassing posters here, namco, cybersomething, the bloke from Norway who is a 'huge' Utd fan and the one with charlton and best in his username for example. I know that Charlton has a couple of forums with widely digressing views but does that mean Card fans are poor or non-Card fans are idiots?

I would agree that some City fans have a certain sense of paranoia. I think there is a degree of justification for this based on the media's desire to appeal to as much of the public as possible (that being Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal fans..etc). BT Sport's abysmal coverage of City in the Champions League being a good example but recent articles in the Mirror and Mail being more contemporary examples. Whether the feeling will change, who knows but when your club is often portrayed as some sort of malign outsider then it seems natural to assume the role of an outsider.

Your final sentence is truly preposterous. Every single City fan is completely comfortable in their skin and quite happy with their club's history. Manchester City have represented the blue half of Manchester for nearly 150 years. The club has had periods of success and periods of decline. History does not equate to trophies. I loved the club as much when I watched them at Wycombe and Luton in Division two (and Charlton in the second tier I think), as I do now. Presumably, you are jealous of Crystal Palace in the PL and Millwall in the Championship based on that statement and feel that Palace and Millwall are superior clubs?

Blue Moon is a fan's forum. It represents a section of the support. Its members largely go to the games or come from Manchester and went to games before they moved elsewhere. Yes, there are a lot of vitriolic posts toward United. Do you expect anything else?

Nothing against you, but this thread is aimed at having fun of idiots on BM. If you want a serious discussion, please take it somewhere else or start a new thread. ;)
