Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

sounds fair enough, just my point was that PSG pay enormous wages like most top clubs

His new wife is a model based in Paris, of course she probably had a massive say. I think he'll probably earn more there too, I wouldn't class it as a massive snub on pep like people here are doing, yeah it's disappointing but no team gets every player they want. Hopefully in the long run it could be good and we don't loan Maffeo out but I doubt that'll happen

Isn't the snub part about how City were expecting him to arrive for a medical and instead he rocks up at PSG and agrees to sign for them? Was a snub more in the way he did it rather than the act itself, after promising Pep and then turning his back at the last minute

Exactly, Pep got snubbed big time.

If it was Mourinho he would definitely have been snubbed in the newspapers

Di Maria never wanted to leave Madrid, went to United because we were the best on offer, then decided he didn't want to stay in Manchester and Paris was the best alternative.
He did want to go to PSG before United came in for him. Real offered him to them for £45m but they couldn't pay up due to FFP or something. After that United was the only choice as he didn't want to accept "low" wages at Real.

It's hard to believe Cavani and Di Maria aren't above 200k.

di maria seems to be on 180k and cavani 130k

Cavani signed a new contract he is between 12m and 13m per year, he was at 10m before.

So double the post you quoted. I was thinking those figures don't quite add up.

Those wages aren't correct some players earn more and others less, Aurier for example is supposed to earn 250k per month while Meunier earns 260k.

People are slating him for this but he's been offered apparently double the money, to a team who are seemingly at a similar level to us.... i love manchester but is it seems commonly accepted that Paris would be a great city to live in with the money, the french league isnt as strong as the prem but other than that, people are being slightly arrogant i feel...

he had accepted an offer, a similar teams come in and offers to double his money, we have no devine right to players and until he signed with city, had no devine right right to come play for pep even if he verbally agreed...
A rational man who will be accused of being a rag and get banned for not joining in the bashing

Ah cool, I thought it was strange, some of those wages looked really cheap. Especially Cavani.

their itk proven to be full of shit....again. hilarious stuff

yet the needy bastards still cling to their every word, tracking flights etc unreal

It is a snub on Pep who thought that Alves had a good relationship with him and Alves' verbal approval was good enough. Now Pepe needs to find another defender

If french ITKs are right, Cavani and Matuidi earned a bit more than that but not much, around 2 more millions per year.

Who gives a shit what PSG players earn.. This is City we are talking about. Best club in the world, with the best manager alive..
Can´t say I´m having a hard time laughing now that they don´t have fullbacks..

He was all set to go to PSG but some issues with the rules prevented that so then he came to United until things were cleared up the following summer.

Aye, but he didn't want to leave Madrid. He got pushed out because they bought "The name's Bond. James Rodriguez."

He couldn't go to PSG because of FFP, so we were the next best destination, then as soon as he could go somewhere not Manchester, he went to PSG.

And Alves rubs it in by saying "If Pep Guardiola and Manchester City feel hurt, I am sorry. I have come here to be a champion."

Encouragingly, apparently not.

I must say I was surprised this deal fell through. I thought the Guardiola factor would definitely be decisive in this instance.
Tbf, if it wasn't my boyhood club or a club I had any particular affiliation too, if someone else was doubling my wage at that stage in my career I'd do the same

On hearing the news about Alves, somewhere in North London Daniel Levy adds another £10 million to Walker's price.

You weren't wrong:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ker-manchester-city-50m-million-a7837856.html

The fact that City are down to one transfer target at right-back only strengthens Tottenham’s position in the Walker negotiations, and their chances of getting close to £50m.

Had a look.
Their forum resembles this one this time last week. Moan...moan...moan..

They have so many ITKs over there it's ridiculous and if you question them for being wrong, you're called a 'flapper'.

There's like 5 Acquire Me's over there.
