Let's do this properly. First off Goalkeepers.

Has to be Schmeichel, best in the world for a couple of seasons and always in the top five when with us. Absolute legend.

Why is Barthez even on the list?

Van der Sar. The others are far too old.

Reckon we can move on to position 2. This could be a good thread - what's next RB?

What about him ??
A try-to-stop gap between Stepney & Bailey ;)

I know, he was an embarassment, I was just being mischevious

and Les Sealey FFS...?? he deserves an honorary mention at least... he is one of only 3 keepers at United to pick up European honours.

The great dane any day. with van der sar not far behind if he has another good year

I was at St Andrews in 78 when we were 1-0 up against Birmingham and lost 1-5. He wasn't entirely to blame but I dont think he played many games after that. Always remembered fondly on Merseyside as well !!

Schmichael without a doubt, i'd even go as far to say he's the best keeper of all time.

Plus he's going to be on the next strictly come dancing

We wouldnt have won half of the trophies we got in the 90s with out schmeics

Special mention to Dudek - he did us proud vs Diego in 2002

what 3 idiots think barthez is better than the other three?
cmon fess up!

Bloody hell, the Great Dane is widely acknowledged as probably the greatest keeper in the history of the game, so how the hell is VDS not far behind, or one good year away from this, in your remarkably precise judgment? VDS is an excellent keeper, on a par with at least half-a-dozen other excellent keepers currently playing in the EPL, let alone other leagues around the world.

It's like saying Fergie and Busby have been our best managers, with Docherty not far behind if he hadn't boinked the physio's wife.
