BTW, can we have a captain poll after the team is chosen as this should be undoubtedly be Keano for me.

As much as I'd like Robson, Keane and Scholes to be involved, how could you have a United all time XI with no Bobby Charlton???

Scholesy for me. Skill wise he'd surely be in the top four in the list but its his attitude as a player and as a person that gets my vote! Scholes - Legend

So many greats to fill 2 slots but I plumped for Keane & Robson in the end - both were never-say-die box to box players who could equally defend as well as attack, contributing with their goals, & what made me chose both over Charlton was that they were leaders on the field who could rally & inspire the troops when the chips were down - leading by example with battling displays & scoring crucial goals!

These threads are turning out to be a joke. All the recent or near-recent players are getting the votes.

Yeah well you can't vote for players you know nothing about just because it sounds like they were great... defeats the object

Bobby Charlton with his range of passing, pace and cannon ball shot has to be a shoo-in. Hard to leave out Paddy, but Robbo or Keane probably shade it, but a hard choice between the two. Robbo probably had a better all round ability.

Keane was great. Probably Robbo was better. He could cut through midfield with those driving runs better than Keane.

This is almost impossible!

Bobby Charlton has to be in there. Even his brother doesn't know if he's left or right footed! Passing range that makes Beckham look inadequate. Trademark cannonball shots, great goals. Fantastic player.

But then how do you choose between Robbo and Keane, Scholes and Crerand?

If I have to pick just one more it would be Robbo.

Roy Maurice Keane

Not a bad midfield, wish we could of had those two in their prime now.

Those who have voted for Keane never saw Robbo play. In my humble opinion of course.

More importantly, where is United's greatest midfielder ever??????? DE

Robson and Charlton for me. I remember the tail end of Robbo's career and he's my favourite player (in my lifetime) behind Cantona. Hard to leave out Scholesy but the bench for this team would be pretty awesome!
