Best TV Series'

Best TV series is Eastenders.....like the character Arthur Fowler

This thread has been made loads already.

Go post in one of them then?

feckin hell man - i dont think i've ever heard of someone with such shit taste in tv. 24's alright, but massively overhyped & drawn out - the rest is shite!

Soprano's, The Wire, Dexter, Breaking Bad to name but a few, are all shows you should get into - if you havent already that is!

It's not really shit taste, it's just the shows I've watched in order of how I'd rank them. And you either haven't watched Prison Break season 1 or didn't understand it to dismiss it like that. Admittedly they dragged it out but season 1 was just pure genius.

Thanks for the advice from everyone - probably going to start off with The Wire.

Stay with it. It's a huge puzzle, and the pay-offs don't come thick and fast in the first few seasons... But it weaves a huge and subtle narrative that's beautiful and descriptive and highly informative. I took some time to "get" why people were bigging it up, but it didn't fail. I've re-watched it 3-4 times, and each time it's just genius <3

Actually I'd recommend you hold off on The Wire until you watch all the other cop shows you want to watch. I found it kind of makes the rest of them look silly. That said, The Wire isn't purely a cop show and more of a docudrama about life in general in the context of crime and politics. It's heavy stuff and I think a lot of people appreciate it for what they learn from it and not just for the entertainment value.

If you're looking for a cop action drama along the lines of 24 (but better IMO) I'd recommend The Shield.

Edit: And if I can have a chance to describe my own tv experiences, there was definitely a time when I thought 24 was pure cocaine and was the best stuff on tv and it wasn't until I dug a lot deeper (coupled with 24 going a bit downhill in the later seasons) that I learned there were much better shows out there. 24 will always have a place in my memory as the first show that I absolutely needed to watch every week, but there are simply just better shows out there.

Ah, I loved all of them. :D Dexter's better, but still....

For anyone who has watced Lost, have any of you seen anything better on television (or at the cinema) than this scene?

That was absolutely fecked up. Still makes me shiver, now.

I watched every single episode within the space of a couple of weeks after seeing that. Should've ended it after they got off the island, even with the plot holes that they would've left. The last 3 series were a complete tragedy, and still didn't explain half of what needed to be explained.

That was a great, great scene, quality indeed. However, this has got to be the one for me: (Breaking Bad S04E11 - I reccomend not to see it if you haven't got there yet)
