Best sporting weekend ever?

It was surely much gayer. All the women were out Lesbians and Becker wore itty bitty wittle shorts like a twink in a strausenhoffer.

I didn't stop you, I just pointed out that they were a bit special needs for actually going along with what you were saying instead of realising you were taking the piss.

The cricket threads are full of spasticos...they always take the bait, even Mike joins in with the fun.

Well there's bound to be thousands isn't there? It all depends on what individual sports you like and who you support. I'd wager every weekend someone's football results all went the right way, and someone they were rooting for won in something else they liked. Weekends are usually full of sport, and if you like Rugby and F1 and something else that happens every weekend then the possibility of 3 things going your way aren't too staggering.

If Ireland had won 3 international things independently I'd consider that a fantastic sporting weekend for the Irish, but a club team winning something in an Ireland only competition, and Man United winning their home game aren't exactly a correlation of majestic sporting phenomena.

I'd imagine the period in which Athletico won the Europa, Spain won the WC and Nadal won Wimbledon was a specifically unique sporting "couple of weeks" for thousands of Spaniards..but if you're limiting it to a weekend, and me personally, probably not, because I don't really care too much about many other sports. I got laid twice this weekend though so it trumps anything that could have possibly happened in the Greco-Armenian Aikido.

So that's a no, then.

Pity. I was kind of hoping to hear from people who have had similarly enjoyable sporting weekends in the past.

Mike likes American Football. For this reason he's a massive spastic.

I'm kind of interested in who the other 99 hottest girls in combat sports are. There can't be that many.

I've already told you..

I once scored the winning goal in a school match on my birthday, after a Giggs-like mazy dribble, and got a kiss off Layla Harvey, this really fit girl at school because of it..And then United thrashed someone the next day. That easily tops the egg chasing and German Airfix Acrobatics in my book.

Plus I think Oxford won the boat race on the same day we beat someone. That was fecking epic for Mike.

I think my fascinating anecdote about Layla and Keith Pigeon is far more interesting than your "Some sides i support all won at the weekend"...Which, if I'm honest, isn't really an anecdote. Mine's layered. Like a sponge cake.

I scored a goal in a sport. But that story also included a fascinating sub plot of love and betrayal, completely gratis. Honestly, you wont find anything as poignant or awash with pathos in your beloved Grizzly Aviation Adventures.

this weekend was pretty good alright.

Irish rugby, then Utd beat Chelsea (while City drew, Liverpool and Arsenal lost). not bad.

I like the hurling but couldn't care less about the GAA football, but I'm pleased you enjoyed it Pog.

Great weekend for me:

City Draw
Liverpool Lose
Arsenal Lose
Tampa Bay Ray win twice against closest rival
Tampa Bay Bucs come from 17-0 down to win
United win
Justin Rose won on the PGA

Cheers man. To be honest, I'd usually prefer watching hurling myself, given the choice but it was a cracking game. Watched it on sky+ last night. The perfect end to a perfect sporting weekend.

I agree, usually the rugby wouldn't register with me, but was an ingredient in the perfect weekend of sporting outcomes.
