Best Signing

Free in and out. So neither good or bad really.

And think of the economic benefits to the club due to increased pie sales at OT.

The King of course. Some people seem already forgotten why he was called the king. He is simply the best! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

And at one third of Keano's price.
Shmikes also deserves a mention.
Of the very old (before my time) players, there were some Irish bergains. I think Johnny Carey was signed from Home Farm for next to nothing. Did we buy Tony Dunne or was he a youth product?

Dennis Irwin was a bargain. From Oldham (i think) for next to nothing and was our most consistant performer for about 8 years

How much did Silvestre cost ?
if he keeps up his good form (touch wood) he could be on those lists in a year or 2 <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Fergie says his best signing was Irwin (I think...him or the big dane).

In my opinion it was Cantona.

He was the missing ingredient to us becoming title winners. + we got him from leeds <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Without him, we didn't win the league. (94/95 due to his ban and then 97/98 when he retired. It took us a season to make up for him)

Cantona is GOD.

Dennis Law is the King. ;)

Personal favorit, it's got to be Eric.
The man who made me fall in love with United with that goal against Liverpool in that FA Cup Final.
1.2 M is an absolute steal considering his impact for the club.
For the bargain, I'd go with Schmikes, around 500k is it? for the best goalkeeper in the world, don't think anyone can match that now..
