Best Repeat Watch Films

I've no idea how many times I've watched The Dark Knight. I never get tired of how maniacally creepy The Joker is in that film.

The Usual Suspects is a good shout, amazing film.

Scarface, Goodfellas, Casino, Once Upon a Time in America, Millers Crossing, all good for multiple watches.

Rocky as well. Remember the Titans is another shout for a sports film, have watched it loads.

Anything with Denzil in. Anything at all. Or Pacino.

I'm also a big fan of Once Upon a Time in The West, have watched it loads, as well as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Fistful of Dollars etc, would watch them every couple of months.

Inception, Blood Diamond, Body of Lies (really like DiCaprio as an actor these days).

And obviously Die Hard.

Quite a lot really.

Are you talking about little things here, or do you see the movie in an entirely different way 2nd/3rd time round?

Pulp Fiction for me. There's Something About Mary never fails to disappoint either.

Well, a bit of both I guess but mainly the former. There's so much going on the first time round.

Spoilers from here on in:

You're introduced to his wife, then we realise he's dreaming, then we realise that that's actually a dream, so you're catching up on what's happened and then you'll miss little bits. Basically most of what happens in the first 45 minutes becomes clear after you've seen it all. Also, in the first dream level, when Eames transforms to Fischer's godfather, I didn't actually realise he's done the transformation.

What's with everyone saying Die Hard, is it joke or is it actually good? Never seen it.

Some great shouts there TN. Once Upon a Time in the West is fantastic, as are the three Eastwood westerns.

Di Caprio is amazing in Blood Diamond, without a doubt my favourite modern actor. You missed out his best role though in The Departed, he was incredible in that. The scene where he scams the meds from his councillor is just such great acting.

I meant to include the Departed, awesome film. I'm a big Jack Nicholson fan too.

You've never seen Die Hard?

You have to watch The Godfather films Liam. Certainly the first two. The third would have been ok as a stand alone film, but doesn't live up to the first two.

I hope you live long enough to watch them.

You've never seen Die Hard?

 No, why is it good? I didn't know if people were taking the piss by including it in this thread. Thought it was just a pretty standard action film?

Me neither, nor Lion King, Independence Day, any of The Godfathers, any of the LOTR, the list goes on.

You missed out as a kid big style, Lion King is fecking awesome. Still quality now tbf.

Back to the Future. Fantastic trilogy.

Great call.. Ground Hog Day is alright, Primer is brilliant, I havent ever got round to seeing Momento or the Ground Hog day "remake." Think that's on Sky at the moment.

Top Secret!

Quite possibly the most stupidly hilarious film ever made....though it's not really well known. If the Airplane & Hot Shots films are your thing, it's a must-see.

It's on Virgin Media 'on-demand' I believe.

Watch it. You won't regret it.

Die Hard is a classic. Die Hard 2 is also good. Die Hard 3 is also good. Die Hard 4 is shite.

You almost have to watch that one more than once.

1776, watch it every July 4th, drive my family nuts as I sing along.
agree with the person who said Top Secret, brilliantly stupid, check out Ice Pirates while you are at it.
Even though I know the twist at the end, The Usual Suspects is very re-watchable.
Field of Dreams, to show what a girl I am I still cry every time he asks his Dad for a catch.
Casino Royale (the Niven, Sellers, Ursula Andress,Woody Allen, etc etc etc
version)
