I am not sure. Didnt he say Pogba is a Juve player and he doesnt talk about other clubs players? Said the same about Griezmann tonight. With Silva he gave a negative and honest response straight away, even if he adds another possible sentence to it. I get a feeling he isnt a priority

Like the sound of that. His quality on the ball, both passing and dribbling, would help us against weaker teams where we can't seem to keep possession and just force them back into their final 3rd (though Mourinho seems against this anyways as it limits counter-attacking opportunities).
I'd love to see him in Iniestia' role, just flipped sides.
Pogba-Silva
--Herrera---
would be a midfield I don't think weaker teams could live with. A lot of passing ability there. Valencia and a LB getting up the wings and 3 in attack with Griezmann, one of the fast young strikers in Rashford/Martial and another direct creator with Mata or Mkhitaryan, and I think we'd get back to scoring goals at home against weaker sides. No idea if Mourinho would risk this, but I never thought he'd use Cesc in a midfield 2, so who knows.
And in big games, we'd presumably only play one of Rashford/Martial/Mkhitaryan/Mata along with Griezmann and then bring in a CM or DM, whether in a 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 with Pogba as the 10, diamond or a 4-4-2 with Pogba and Silva tucking in and Herrera and a DM/CM in the middle with Griezmann and whoever partners him best up top.
Hard to think of a Prem player exactly like him. Maybe Steed Malbranque having the best month of his career but as base level, and left-footed.
I'm not totally convinced those quotes are real...can't find them anywhere except on Twitter, which would be apt...
headline says "Bernardo Silva? I don't think so, but you never know" and its a direct quote from mourinho.
Article goes on to say Mourinho didn't close the door to a possible signing of the player, which the english press has been linking United to, but didn't sound confident about it happening.
Mourinho said "next season with B. Silva? honestly, I don't think so, however, you never know, good players are always welcomed".
also, yeah i speak portuguese and i translated the second article from O Jogo, I didn't read the first but it should be similar stuff.
Of course he would give an ambiguous or a throwaway comment about a transfer. It's classless to speak openly. It undermines the negotiations if there are any, and is also disrespectful to a club who have the player contracted.
I like Silva, but I don't see him as a priority. With Mata and Mkhitaryan in the squad, I would prefer to add someone with more - as the Spanish say - "llegada". That is, someone who is more direct, and gets on the end of chances. I think this is especially important in a team which is clearly set up to play on the counter attack.
We need a world class finisher - Rashford and Martial aren't adequate in that regard and Griezmann is not likely to be made into an out and out striker. Someone like Belotti might fight the part.

If we are not signing him I think its because he will be staying and we will only move for him if someone else threatens to get him this summer.
It could be that, you never know particularly with the Jose-Mendes connection. Rodrigues really needs a top club if Real dump him, we need goals and assists from various areas in attack so you can't discount this signing which would help Mendes' client whilst also helpng us cover a yawning gap of goals from midfield. Woodward would also love a foothold in the South American market.Or that we already agreed to sign Rodrigues in De gea swop?
Ah the infamous swap.Or that we already agreed to sign Rodrigues in De gea swop?
Really hope this is not the case, can see Woodward over paying Real unless it's a + cash swop deal for De gea . Would prefer Silva though. It could be that, you never know particularly with the Jose-Mendes connection. Same here but there is a football case to be made for signing James - he has the creativity and goal scoring ability to change our attack particularly against the like of Burnely where one screamer into the top corner is all it takes to open up the game. However fitting him, Griezmann and Pogba in the same side for the big games is a headache I wouldn't wish on anyone.Really hope this is not the case, can see Woodward over paying Real unless it's a + cash swop deal for De gea . They are totally different players.I don't see the need for him if we're getting Griezmann. I suspect he was thought of and worked on as a back-up option.
We really could do with a proper dribbler in the attack, not just push and run players.
I'd be inclined to agree. I think he'll be too expensive alongside greizmann and the central midfielder we actually need. It's a pity though becuase he's brilliant.
they have that now, just change Bernado for David. An attack of Jesus, De Bruyne, Sane and Bernardo Silva would be quite devastating.
