The answer to both questions is no. But if you think that guarantees you a finish above Liverpool then think again.
100% right, im afraid.

Where's Berbatov 9 - the poster?
Has he still not posted since the minor spat with Spoons?

He was inserted as part of the Berbatov's deal
30m + Campbell (loan) + Berbatov9 instead of 20m + Campbell (loan)
Nope, not once. Has he been back online since?
I think Spurs will be fighting the relegation with West Brom. Honestly, I don't expect them to gather many points after what I've seen so far.
* The rest of the league looks extremely strong
* They finished in bottom half last season with BETTER squad
* Too many foreign players who don't speak English
* UEFA Cup will prove to be too tiresome for them

I haven't moved any goalposts and I haven't asked anyone to prove anything. You see that?
That is typical GS debating tactic in action, moving the goal-posts half-way through the argument, hoping that nobody can be arsed to go back and check what the debate is actually about.
The thing is, he predicted that Liverpool would finish ahead of United i.e. in his opinion, this is the most likely outcome. But now, having been appropriately slagged off for making such a daft suggestion, he's expecting people to prove that United are guaranteed to finish above Liverpool. These are, of course, two entirely different scenarios.
This is why I can't really be bothered arguing with him and why he rubbed so many people up the wrong way in this very thread (prompting whining and bleating about being persecuted and bullied)
I haven't moved any goalposts and I haven't asked anyone to prove anything.
I'm (a) predicting Liverpool to finish 2nd behind Chelsea and (b) saying that having a better collection of players and a better manager (although the gap is not huge) does not necessarily mean that MUFC will finish above Liverpool. Those two statements are perfectly compatible.
I left this thread until the Berbs issue was resolved because any info. I relayed was apparently not welcome unless it said what you wanted to hear. For example, the info. that Levy would only sell for a figure well north of 25m and wouldn't be budged on that. Well guess what ....

Nevermind the fact that he says he'll give 100% no matter where he plays. There's not the huge gulf you clearly imagine, as much as you may wish to believe otherwise.
But there are others factors. For example:
* Having better players does not always necessarily mean a better team.
* Ronaldo is arguably a better player than any at Liverpool, but how big will his contribution this season be due to injury and Real Madrid frustrations?
* Perhaps Liverpool will want it more and fight harder.
Hull probably will end up higher placed than Spur.
I've already given some reasons earlier in this thread, but you seem to insist on repetition:If a United have better players than Liverpool and a better manager (feck knows why you think the gap between the most succesful manager in the modern game and some fat Spanish waiter is anything other than huge but let's park that for now) why in God's name is the most likely outcome, in your opinion, for Liverpool to finish ahead of United?
In your own time and please, for a change, stick the question you've been asked.
* I think they'll want it more, fight harder and be a more united, cohesive team than MUFC. Your team may (?) be becoming too much a collection of big egos and 'stars'.
What he says and what he does may be two different things. It's only 4 months until the whole RM saga can be re-opened.Nevermind the fact that he says he'll give 100% no matter where he plays.
I've already given some reasons earlier in this thread, but you seem to insist on repetition:
* They have stronger squad than last season.
* They concede very few goals and have the ability to grind out results even when playing badly.
* I think they'll want it more, fight harder and be a more united, cohesive team than MUFC. Your team may (?) be becoming too much a collection of big egos and 'stars'.
* They've made a good start: 7 points and just 1 home game so far.
* Ronaldo made a huge contribution last season - I don't see anything like a repeat for various obvious reasons.
* Scholes and Giggs will contribute less and less - I don't see the intended replacements stepping up as much as needed.
My response in bold.I've already given some reasons earlier in this thread, but you seem to insist on repetition:
* They have stronger squad than last season. Our squad is still stronger than theirs
* They concede very few goals and have the ability to grind out results even when playing badly. We conceded the fewest goals last season
* I think they'll want it more, fight harder and be a more united, cohesive team than MUFC. Your team may (?) be becoming too much a collection of big egos and 'stars'.Fergie's the best ego manager in the business
* They've made a good start: 7 points and just 1 home game so far. We've got 4 from 2, and had we played Fulham would've had 7 from 3, same as them. Would have only been 1 home game as well
* Ronaldo made a huge contribution last season - I don't see anything like a repeat for various obvious reasons.Nobody expects him to do what he did last season. With another attacking player it just provides another scoring option so he doesn't have to have the same season as he did last
* Scholes and Giggs will contribute less and less - I don't see the intended replacements stepping up as much as needed. Both Scholes and Giggs have looked lively the first few games(Giggs looked like rolling back the years til he injured himself). Fergie trusts their replacements. They're certainly better than what Liverpool have to offer.
Reports said he wanted to leave before the season was over. He continued to play on an injured foot and gave it his all. I can't see him slacking off at all when he plays. He wants to be the best player in the world. Taking it easy won't help his case. What he says and what he does may be two different things. It's only 4 months until the whole RM saga can be re-opened.
I've already given some reasons earlier in this thread, but you seem to insist on repetition:
* They have stronger squad than last season.
But still weaker than ours, as you've just admitted.
* They concede very few goals and have the ability to grind out results even when playing badly.
We conceded less goals than any other team in the league and grinding out results, while playing badly, was our specialty.
* I think they'll want it more, fight harder and be a more united, cohesive team than MUFC. Your team may (?) be becoming too much a collection of big egos and 'stars'.
Because we've signed one new player? FFS
* They've made a good start: 7 points and just 1 home game so far.
3 games, you numpty. Using that logic, Spurs are getting relegated. Something I doubt you would agree with.
* Ronaldo made a huge contribution last season - I don't see anything like a repeat for various obvious reasons.
So what? We've just signed your best player. He can more than make up for any slight decrease in Ronaldo's contribution.
* Scholes and Giggs will contribute less and less - I don't see the intended replacements stepping up as much as needed.
They don't need to. They will be better but Scholes and Giggs are still a class above
While being spot on.You see that?

Anyhoo, as you were folks, I'm just passing through
I'm tempted to try and hunt you down and repeat this VERY LOUDLY, while punching you repeatedly in the head, in a vain attempt to get the blindingly obvious across to you
...
I remember similar impulses when 'discussing' things with Bodzilla & Stamford Bridge.[/B]
Dear oh dear - this is what I get for suggesting that your hated rivals will finish higher than you.... your a clueless cnut and this place is better of without you.
I've already agreed that overall you have a better squad and manager, so I don't get the point of your question.Even the most deluded Scousers think we're light years ahead.
GS: How do you define better players, and manager?
Dear oh dear - this is what I get for suggesting that your hated rivals will finish higher than you.
Pardon me for having a view that differs from the holiest-of-holies concensus
on a Man. United board.
Or alternatively .... grow up.
What evidence do you have of that happening?Your team may (?) be becoming too much a collection of big egos and 'stars'.
