oh and another thing... if chelsea get robinho and we dont sign berbatov we really might be screwed.... it looks likely they will get him, he has been left outta their squad for tonights game

Come on gill, ill chuck in £20 im sure there would be a few more donations if we are short a little ;)

Why the feck would Fox have details on the transfer that nobody in the UK media has? Sky and BBC don't seem to know how far the negotiations have progressed (if they have progressed at all) so I doubt some crappy yank TV channel has any fresh info.

Americans.....

I'd rather we keep Campbelll as our 4th striker for this season. We can then evaluate whether he is good enough or not.

Plus, he is the only one from our strikers who has genuine pace.

rooney is a quick when fit id say, and a lot stronger, and rooney has a brain, pace isnt everything if you dont know how to use it.

If it means getting berbatov surely it is worth throwing him in with the deal?

We have manucho as 4th striker

Berbatov9, we need you man!!!

All is forgiven, we need your inside knowledge now, i would hate you to return on Tuesday and say i told you so, do your biz bro..

I agree with you bro on the above, but Campbell is simply pace and different to what we have. Tevez, Rooney and Berbs like to play deep and rotate, Manucho i guess is the tall target man so Campbell could be our pacy out and out striker.

Also, i hear the rumours are £25m plus Campbell, if that is the case then is way too much.

Chelsea buying Robinho wont guarantee success, I rate him highly, but is he someone who can walk into the Chelsea team & be immediately effective - probably not, it may cause its own problems like who are they going to drop?

Inside knowledge? All he did was watch Skysports news and MUTV all day while searching through all the newspaper bollocks to find the most positive news about us signing Berbatov. No-one has inside info.

C'mon don't diss the man now, i was trying my best to get him back.

We must give him a bit of credit he was quite knowledgeable on the subject.

I gotta go now, it is the start of Ramadan now, so i would like the Berbs deal done by midnight please :)

i think he is a quality player who has the ability, cant see any reason why he wouldnt be a success, he has succeeded against the technically better defenses in spain, now he will be able to expose this here and with his speed, his size shouldn't be a problem.

He will give them that option of unpredictability and someone who can change a game in a second, a ronaldo if you will, and this is what they have missed, if he signs, he will be awesome, and i have to say i will enjoy watching him, i just hope we get berbatov, because i really do feel if we get him, we will be near enough perfect and complete.... this season

Robinho at Chelsea will be what Wright Phillips should have been.

berbatov comes deep at spurs because they lack creativity, so he gets involved, but he can operate as the lead striker perfectly and will fit in with our fluid interchange and passing game, but at the same time giving us that different option, as i said - strength, height, ability to play lead striker.

with rooney tevez berbatov and manucho that is 4 and i dont know if campbell will get enough opportunities in our side, what with nani, ronaldo, anderson, park, hargreaves etc who can play on the wings or in advanced positions.

i think if berbatov comes it will be best to sell him, but each to their own

....smoke weed every dayy:D

On another note, I hope we dont waste Campbell. He needs a chance, it obviously means ALOT to him, look at the passion and hunger when he plays.
Selling him would be a big loss I feel, hes been one of the best prepared youths to come through our system, performing at all different levels.

I cant wait (if it actually happens) to see him at a united press conference sitting next to fergsuon, in a suave suite looking like andy garcia

Actually, he can't technically sign for us today, can he? The reason the transfer window was extended 24 hours was because something is closed on Sundays (The FA? The Banks? The Massaging Parlour?), so it got extended to the end of Monday.

Obviously we can announce it's going to happen and that everything between the clubs has been agreed, but the FA itself can't recognise him as a Man Utd player until tomorrow.

I'm convinced Berbatov would be a hit if he joined us. In his two seasons at Spurs he's displayed all the qualities required to do a very good job for a team like United.

He's comfortable with his back to goal, and his ability to hold up the ball and link up with other players (most notably Keane at Spurs) is fantastic. He can score a variety of goals, is a composed finisher and offers more of an aerial threat than any of the strikers we currently have on our books. He also has exceptional touch and control and has that rare quality of making everything seem effortless. Very elegant player. And although he isn't the quickest, he's not exactly a slouch (see this goal if you need to refresh your memory).

At United he'd absolutely thrive on the intelligent movement of the likes of Rooney, Tevez and co. I'm almost salivating at the prospect of his fancy little flicks falling into the path of our other attackers. He's a pretty mobile striker, so shouldn't affect the fluency that has become the trademark of our attacking play. If anything, he'd add to it.

He'd receive better service from the midfield and flanks at United too, and I wouldn't be suprised to see a significant increase in both his goal and assist tallies should he join. Okay, he has a questionable attitude but I don't think it'd be a problem.

Anyway, £25m + is obviously very expensive, especially considering he's 27, but I reckon he'd be a fantastic acquisition and would become the focal point of an already devastating attack, hopefully bringing out the best of Rooney along the way.

Just seen this quote from way back when the Berba story was kinda its a good post and sums him up nicely

This Cambell thing is completely made up, NOTW bollox. Barely worth discussing, IMO.

The only genuine progression in the saga today was Berbatov not turning up at Stamford Bridge. I reckon that is hugely significant. It's gonna happen tomorrow. I can feel it in my waters :D

Also Poyets comments. I think hes coming too. SSN will be some fun tomorrow thats for sure.

I think it's the Premier League administrators, who transfer players registrations. They won't be in their offices until 9am tomorrow.
