Only just seen the story in The Mirror.

I know that the press always talk shite but can anyone remember a saga like this where so many newspapers have ran with a story of someone having definitely signed for a new club, only for the deal never to happen?

Ronaldinho?

I leave you for 10 minutes and you rape Berbatov 9. The caf has a lot to answer for. How can he leave the day before we sign our berb? Silly.
B9 had a lot of good talking points but no sense of humour. He has to realize that when we poked him up the ass we were only joking.
How will he survive?
We have lost an important ITK muppet. It is sad.
But we must move on.

Is Dimitar Berbatov heading to Old Trafford?

Manchester United will go all out to clinch the signing of Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov over the weekend after the latest setback in their season.

Stung by an injury which is keeping Cristiano Ronaldo out until November and a poor performance in their opening league game against Newcastle, United lost last night’s UEFA Super Cup final 2-1 to Zenit St Petersburg and Paul Scholes was sent off meaning he will be suspended for the crucial Champions League group match against Villarreal.
All in all not exactly the start to the season United were looking for but Sir Alex Ferguson intends changing that around by finally signing Berabtov for £28 million.
He has until midnight on Monday to do it when the transfer window closes, but noises from Old Trafford suggest they are confident of sealing the deal.
And this even though German giants Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign the Bulgarian striker, who has frustrated the management at Spurs with his attitude.
Berbatov is desperate to make the move to United, which in turn would strengthen Ferguson’s forward options.
Meanwhile Zenit boss Dick Advocaat has stated that they have failed to reach agreement with Spurs for Andrei Arshavin, who came on as substitute in his side’s victory over United.
"Tottenham offered £16m and that's not enough, so that's the end of it,” said former Rangers boss Advocaat, who says the London club remain £6m short of the asking price for the playmaker.
"They (Tottenham) had several weeks of time to buy him and they did not offer £22m like everybody has been writing, but just £16m," added the Dutchman.
