Most strikers would be pleased to have that many wonder strikes in a career let alone a season.

My favourite strike for technique was the one vs Bremen, it was out of this world - And the absolute BULLET vs Chievo.

The way it stands, the same can't be said for Ibrahimovic. Fancy that.

Bendtner was absolutely shocking today, as was Sweden. We probably won't get to the World Cup now but if this means the end of Lagerbäck then it's a sweet, sweet victory. How on earth someone can be so stupid and constantly play players like Mikael Nilsson and Daniel "Sideways" Andersson is beyond me.

i promissed myself never to watch a Sweden game with that cnut in charge...no WC for Sweden then, i hope they sack him tomorrow!
 
Point is the same chat was hurled at Messi before this season, "he hasn't scored in the last 16!!" then he scored agaisnt lyon and it was "yeah but lyon are rubbish. Then he scored agaisnt Bayern, "yeah but bayern are rubbish, he hasnt even scored agaisnt an english team!" so he scores in the final against United... So now that he has done all that he is a great player, he wasn't that good before, clearly :lol:

Same for Zlatan, when he scores in the last 16 or against EPL opposition he'll then be a great player. Until then he is above average. It is a baffling way to judge a player in my opinion.

No it's a very good way to judge a player because players don't achieve greatness through having the ability to do something, they do by actually doing it.

The players have it all to prove and that's the main part. Messi did have it all to prove this season and credit to him, he did do it. And the hights he's aiming to reach he will have to keep it up for most of his career. Ibrahimovic on the other hand in his much longer career so far hasnt even proven himself once on that stage. I don't think its much to ask top players to perform in the big stages of the biggest club competition. I mean, heck they get a chance to do it every frickin year :)

Simply put, players shoud be judged like that (albiet not so to and fro, and not so childishly) AND yes great players have to go out and do great things. And not just once. IMO if Ronaldo doesnt perform in the CL any longer, he'll be disappointed despiting being the best player one year and being good this year. So in that Ibrahimovic is woeful, he hasnt even done it one year.
