Bender Has Decided to Leave Arsenal

I thought this was funny.
 Classic Dunning–Kruger!

Even if you think they deserved their Ig Nobel Prize, the titles of those papers are wonderful, and they do indeed remind one of Bendtner -- "Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments" and "Why the unskilled are unaware: Further explorations of (absent) self-insight among the incompetent"

"What are we going to do tonight Nicklas?"
"The same thing we do everynight Zlatan"
"??"
"TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!"

First Denilson and now Bendtner. Can't some decent players decide to leave Arsenal please?

He's got to go. He's been poor as well Admittedly he's been stuck out wide to no avail this latter part of the season but in the last three years he's had enough opportunities playing up top when RvP was injured and before Chamakh arrived.

He's slow, not technically gifted but can find the net given the service but all in all - nope - does'nt cut it at this level

I believe every player who has appearances gets their one moment to shine and in that bizarre match we lost to Barca without a single shot Bedtner, having come on as sub at the death, had that one golden opportunity to win it with almost the last kick but lacking any composure for a striker could not convert it.

That was enough for me to know he'll never hack it at the very top

As people have said he'll work out well at a club that can play for him and work towards his abilities which are limited and he could do well at I think say Everton Newcastle etc etc ..

He's confident alright but where he gets that from I'll never know :wenger:

Where would he go though. Who would want him. Maybe Newcastle? Wigan, Stoke, Wolves and even West Ham should all try and put a bid in if they could afford him. I can't see anywhere else in England where he could play.

I think he is a talented player who needs to be playing regularly in a team that will play to his strengths at this point in his progression as a player. He's been on a downwards slope of late, and being made a square peg for a round hole isn't doing him much good.

Previously, he has always looked better for Denmark than Arsenal (though he's been shit of late for Denmark as well). More direct, more willing to take players on and make something happen. He is not made for Arsenal's proclivity to want to backheel the ball into the net.

Apparently, Bayern are in for him and I reckon it would be a good fit. An easier league that should allow him some more confidence (natural, I mean. Not the inflated one he desperately clings to) to develop his game, but still at a high enough level that he can improve whilst surrounded by good players.

I do think he has the potential to be a top striker 3-4 years down the line, but he needs to get his next club right. He can't afford to be arsing about as a journeyman.
