It was the bet of the day by far once Mali went 2 nil up, fancy St Johnstone ht/ft tonight at 3/4.

Peter... Malawi were 2-0 up after 3 mins... A win for Malawi would have seen Angola & Algeria through with a draw and no one likes the host nation being eliminated. If you saw the match you would have seen they were playing for a 0-0 draw.

I posted the bet up when I saw 5/4 on Totesport (was 1.99 on BF). Anyone in there right mind could see a what was on. You said if Maliwi won they were through.

To be fair Baz, that profit figure is hugely distorted by the 90-1 bet on a reality TV show. Remove that and it's not as impressive. :angel:

Baz, how are you seeing Cheltenham with about a month and half to go? Any particular hunches?
 
To be fair if Baz goes off info Cheltenham isn't really the place for that. You can't exactly lay one out for the Festival.

No. Wonderful as that horse is I think if you put him under pressure at Cheltenham he is beatable there. Denman is an absolute monster, sort of like Nadal to Kauto Star's Federer if you will. He is capable (and has done in the past) of bullying KS into making mistakes - something no other horse has ever been able to do.

Exactly. I agree with you about the Ryanair btw, Planet of Sound a stonking each way bet at the prices I think, I also agree that the Tank will put Kauto in his place this year. Fancy Somersby for the Arkle myself, really impressive beating Crack Away Jack at Sandown, jumped for fun that day and looks overpriced at 8/1
 
Somersby is a big danger right enough. I took 20s on Sizing Europe in the autumn and will be in a good position on the day to cover.
 
Talk about unlucky.....

Jumped the last 10 lengths clear and was trading 1.02 inrunning on betfair...

Slipped 10 out on his own and no one around him and jockey fell off....

You'll get about 2-3 races like this a year... Cann't believe it had to be this one....

This is probably a stupid question and I'm relatively new to betting on anything other than football but how are you getting Betfair odds on things like BAFTA winners? From their site I can make out they only do sports.
