Batistuta free transfer

He'd be a good 4th striker, but I don't think thats what we're looking for especially with a young Forlan as a striker. I agree with Suedesi, his game relied on his physical attributes a lot and he has lost those, he's no longer the incredible player he was. Its easy to see why he would want to come here, but harder to see what we would gain from a player of that type.

where did you read this ?

fourfourtwo.

and one of the reason they lost the scudetto -

no he was injured the reason is montella and delveccio and casanno not being able to fill his shoes.

He'd be a good 4th striker - or 2nd or 3rd and on the arggies he's #1 , he good enough to keep crespo on wood , then he's good enough to play at OT. i'll go out on a limb and post he'd score more than forlan (and maybe as many as anyone on MU now if given the mins. but why would MU feature him?)

Even though his the next bext thing after Ruud he is too Old <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" /> <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" /> <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

Well, Fergie's just been interviewed on Sky and has just shot down the rumour that we might be after Batistuta. If it's not DiCanio, Gomes or Batistuta and we have no money, I wonder who he's after?

I scored 9 goals for my local sunday league pub team last year.............perhaps i should give him a call. ;)

Crespo is my bet. Then Lopez. If Ronaldo is genuinely available (and I don't think he is), then we might go for him depending on what price is stuck on his head.

IMO he is hardly going to tell you who he is after until he has bagged him its how he works

You may be right, but I don't think so, unless he's a very good liar. Besides, Batistuta is past it. Besides, if every player who wanted to play for us came here then there would be no other clubs. ;)

we need to bring the age down for the squad upfront, as ruud and forlan are young Ole is not, the 4th striker needs to be young but also world class, in order for us to splash teh cash, as kenyon is lookin gto tyhe future, only strikers left that have not been flaty denied are ronaldhino and gudjohnson, i wouldn't mind gudjohnson, only if real do not sign ronaldo.

Otherwise i would prefer Ronaldhino.

Crespo and Lopez also have not been denied. We could have signed PDC for one season only, and then got Cisse next year, and catered for both the present and the future. If we got Crespo now, would that be saying we are not in for Cisse?

definately, if we sign a world class young gun, then bye to cisse.

but we seem to have passed up on some big signings like, batistuta and rivaldo on free's, also players like duff and dicanio, so maybe fergie is definately gonna buy a striker, but it would seem like crespo, ronaldhino, gudjohnson or lopez.

i think that is the reason fergie is playing player like Pugh and djordic, to showcase them and then sell'em off,and also sell fortune and chadwick, for combined 15 million, then buy the striker and fullbacks, and use forlan, fletcher and richardson as backups on the wings.

If we go for Crespo or Lopez though, I'd have to think that Seba would be going the other way. Even though the papers talk about the deal not costing us so much because part of it is a write off for the debt they still owe us from the Stam deal, I think, in the PLC's mind, that debt has already been banked and the full cost would be counted as new expenditure by the PLC. Another potential problem is that apparently Crespo is on really high wages with Lazio ... I think it's even more than what Seba gets at United.

The italians are taking pay cuts, and the Lazio players weren't even getting paid, so I doubt he'd argue too much.

My point exactly.

I loved Fergie's reaction to the "are you buying Batistuta question today" <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Interviewer: "What's your reaction to the reports that Batistuta is linked...?"

Fergie: -shocked- "Batistuta???", "No!"

Is linked to what?

Interviewer: "What's your reaction to the reports that Batistuta is linked to Al Queda?"

Fergie: -shocked- "Batistuta???", "No!" "Shearer I can understand but Batistuta"

Still miffed Blythy.

I get your drift especially in light of our policy of selling before buying.

As for Forlan, he's not been too convincing has he?

Aah Batistuta......reminds me of a world cup song.
Batistuta shags his ma, shags his ma, shags his ma, Batistuta shags his ma up the shitter !!!!!
..............sideways!
