If Schneiderlin and Schweini happen (far fetched I know ) then United would have signed German,French ,Dutch and Italian internationals without spending a penny on British players :D:D

:drool: Finally something I like, just two things, Otamendi plays on the left and Depay and Di Maria played more on the other wing.
Yeah, you're right about Otamendi (Smalling obviously a right sided player too. I'd have Di Maria on the other wing if Depay starts, if Mata starts then Di Maria plays on the left imo because Mata will play on the right.

:lol: ffs

I fecking love gifs

This will be a fecking awesome signing.

Don't think it will happen but imagine a midfield 3 of Herrera, Bastian and Schneiderlin with Carrick and Blind as cover. :drool:

Good signing if we get Schneiderlin as well.

One thing to note though;
RVP = 6m
Schweinsteiger = 20m

Both are 31. We're getting rinsed here. What happened to the clubs being friendly? How come they got Alonso cheap but we're not getting a player (on the decline) with a year left on his contract cheap?

Difference being, van Perdsie is clearly on the way down. Whereas Schweini is a club legend.

We are on the same page then, hopefully we are proven right and this line up wins the league.:D

Better then £29 million on Arda Turan.

Disagree, I think Turan is a better deal and a better player. He's two years younger and not in his last contract year. And less injury prone and his wages are about half.

But this thread is about Bastian.

Delighted if true, provided we still go for Schneidy. Midfield will be fecking scary next season whatever the composition with Schwein, Schneid, Carrick, Herrera, Di Maria and Fellaini in the mix.

And Blind.

As far as Schweini is concerned I think he is getting quite old now and wouldn't really be a worthy addition to us. I think I saw the Cup match at home vs Dortmung and he was completely knackered towards the end of that. Out of breath and everything. We should be going for young confirmed talent to plug a hole in CM.

I just want to re-quote this as I have nothing new to add even though his move might be imminent.

He'll be 31 next month and had quite a few injuries last season. If we pay €20m for an old crock it'll be the second time Bayern have us! I hope I eatmy words and he helps us to another fecking treble but I just don't see it :(

Just gone done a sex wee.

Lacazette, Otamendi and Schneiderlin and we could actually do this league title thingy.

As long as his role will be to rotate with Carrick and it doesn't affect the Schneiderlin signing then ok.

We seem to be in danger of having a really good midfield with depth next season, and shit all options up front. What must Fergie be thinking?

Schneiderlin
Scherrera - Schweinsteiger

If we set out more defensively Scharrick instead of Scherrera. I know it's terrible ffs.

Bayern fans are going apeshit at Pep on facebook, shit seems on.
Lovely to see rival fans feeling our de Gea pain :drool: Not quite as sweet as the Real fans crying over Ramos the other week, but not bad.

The fecking wankers in the German media telling us last week he is motivated to win a 4th consecutive league title with Bayern when he said that months ago, turning it into a breaking story that he will stay :lol:

Also, it isn't really similar to RvP at all. We paid £24m (or something) for him when he was 29. Paying that much for a striker is fecking mental because they have a shorter shelf-life than pretty much any other player. Which is also why we received so "little" from Fenerbahce for his services -- we were just happy to have 250k+ a week off the wage bill I'd imagine. But a deep-lying midfielder like Schweinsteiger could quite easily play at a high level into his mid-to-late thirties (ala Pirlo, Scholes, Xavi).

Anyway, obligatory updated muppet XI:
----------------De Gea
Darmian--Otamendi--Smalling--Shaw
------Schneiderlin--Schweinsteiger
----------------Herrera
--Mata/Depay-----------Di Maria
----------------Rooney

Put that lot together, and we're starting to look in really good shape both first X1 and squad wise.

Fellaini, Young, Blind, Carrick, Jones, and one of Mata/Depay on the bench is pretty good strength in depth.

Obviously, we still need to actually finalise Otamendi and Schneiderlin, and the whole De Gea thing will rumble on. But the Schweinsteiger transfer cheers us all.
