Baseball's back

Ho hum, the Yankees will suck donkey dick for the first half of the season, will bring some youngsters up in the second half and as teams tire their superior payroll will come through and they`ll take the division, then bomb out in the play-offs AGAIN. Thick cnuts will never learn.

LETS GO REDSOX !!!!

Damn inter-league baseball. The Blue Jays are back on track, 2.0 games back of the Bosox, 0.5 back of the Yacks :)

AP - May 23, 9:08 pm EDT
TORONTO (AP) -- Roy Halladay won his fifth straight decision, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 4-1 on Tuesday night.

Halladay (6-1), the 2003 AL Cy Young Award winner, hasn't lost since skipping a start in mid-April because of a strained right forearm. He allowed one run and seven hits, striking out seven and walking none in coming within one out of his 23rd career complete game.

B.J. Ryan came on with a runner on first and two outs and earned his 11th save in as many chances.

Now we just need AJ in the rotation.

you think Gibbons will throw Towers out and keep Janssen in the rotation when both AJ and Chacin're back?

btw, is Adam Kennedy joining the Jays and seeing Shea Hillenbrand going the other way? What about Aaron Hill? He's been good in 2B...

oh and btw, I can't stand Scott Schoeneweis anymore...
and in a 1-run + last inning game bringing on a pitcher other than BJ Ryan is unthinkable...

It gives him options. Doc and AJ will start the rotation, Chacin, Lilly and Janssen make a nice backend to the staff. As good or better than anyone (presuming Burnett can pitch as per plan). I can't wait to see it, hopefully soon.

Don't know, Hillenbrand has been great this year.

How good has BJ been this year? Fantastic!

I am really happy that Johnny Damon is with Evil Empire.

He will be off to a flier.

yeh, can you text Gibbons and remind him NOT to play Schoeneweis?

BJ's been SUPREB, very impressed with him. He's a monster, it's like his usual routine striking out at least a batter in the last inning and ending the ball game in style.

Seeing Josh Towers reminds me of Miguel Batista....

Yankees are like the Chelsea of Baseball. They ruin the sport for everybody else because all they do is spend exorbant amounts of money on players. It's you foreign bastards who buy their merchandise that are funding their players wages.:nono:

Except the Yankees can't win at the moment. Not for five years now.

They have both been .500 pitchers in prior years. Jays would kick butt hard if Towers was .500, this year (at 1-8) he's killing us.

I'll mention it next time we're out for beers ;)

It's great to have a real closer again.

The Jays have had hard cravings for lefties since forever (see Schoeneweis). They are always useful as trade bait even if they are crap.

I'll be more than happy to see him gone without pitching in a Jay uniform anymore...but i doubt Gibbons will do that.
