If Darren fully recovers and gets back to what he was in 2010 before his condition really deteriorated we don't need to sign anyone but if he doesn't we need someone else. There are few choices out there better than Keita. Give Fergie more time to run the rule over Fletch too and see if he's ever gonna really recover.

If we are going to buy Moutinho, he still ain't a cover for Carrick because the former is not a defensive mid. Instead of buying any more strikers, we should just stock up on midfielders so we can deal with injuries during the season.

Well he's with Drogba, Anelka and what's-his-face-I-think-he's-Serbian. The Chinese league is growing but I think they need to follow the MLS model. They're sitting on a football bubble. Plus massive corruption.
I like Keita. He would be decent here if he wanted. He's got the skillset to be playing in Europe still. No need to go all the way to China for a few extra bucks.
When I saw Keita play I always thought he was technical a step down from nearly everyone in the squad. There you go.

I don't see how he can be seen as more of a defensive midfielder than Moutinho, he only played as a holding midfielder a handful of times thanks to Busquets. He's averaged a goal every 4 starts ever since he's been in Spain and that's because he's played relatively high up the pitch. He's hardworking and combative but I'm not convinced he'd be suited to being Carrick's replacement. He could be good alongside him, though.
If he's leaving Barca because he spends too much time on the bench why would he go to Utd to sit on the bench?
