Barcelona's Keita could be set Manchester United move

I'd take anyone with a Barca education. The "Oxford" of the football world. 4 years there can teach a player a lot.

At 32 he'd be a good short term experienced signing.

Stopped reading at "according to his agent"...

... which in hindsight seems a bit pointless as the article appeared to be reaching a climax.

Would not be a bad signing, incidentally. Experienced, the kind of midfielder we could use if we get Kagawa, and probably not too expensive. Competition/cover for Carrick/Scholes.

But I can't see us going for him, he's 32 years old.

Since when did The Express get word on anything before someone else?

32 years old and not that good. Would be alright as cover but we have to aim higher than that.

Well I guess he does fit the big and strong criteria..

Would allow the Glazers to save money. About what we seem to be at the moment. No longer good enough to be a squad player at Barca so I fail to see what he'd add to our midfield. We need better frankly.

He's Milan bound and they will get ten years out of him.

Nice bit a press bullshit logic.

'Hey Boss, I was thinking. If you need to fill some column inches, Yaya Touré did really well for City having come from Barcelona, and a lot of people have been saying Manchester United need a similar player in their midfield'

'..so? how does this help me fill my quota for bollocks transfer speculation?'

'Well sir, there is another tall African player at Barcelona...'

'My god you're right...'

I've always like Seydou and he's had very good performances for Barca when I've seen him play. But he's old. He'd be a stop gap if we don't get another player.

He's been linked with Liverpool a few times over the last 12 months as well.

Good player. Bullshit story? It's definitely muppet time.

Agree with the M Plan. Good player, bullshit story. It's a matter of time before we're linked with Granero, Sahin or Diarra as well. Bench players at a big club that play in central midfield.

Such a move would incredibly depressing, a great squad player but the club has needed to spend big on starting quality at centre mid. for years.

Not a bad option to have, but at his age and the wages he'd possible be on, think Fergie would prefer a much younger guy coming in. I would understand if one of Giggs or Scholes didnt re-sign for another season, but the deal makes no sense when you think about it.
